Fat people are really fun to draw. They have interesting curved lines and volumes, subtle soft values.

Eh, you just do it. Take what you know about anatomy and figure proportions, then fill out more volume in the right places by referring to photos. A lot of times (and this is true for most new subjects) if you allow yourself to warm up with exaggerated caricatures you'll feel less intimidated. Just have fun with it.

Try sketching a broad figure signifying the pose, as blocks or a stick figure, you decide.
Then study the rotund parts of the model and sketch them over the posing stick figure.
And then just clean up the mess and add the details.
Preferable you use a lighter pencil like a H5 for the broad definitions, and then go over the lines after cleaning with perhaps a B or B2 pencil.
Then I guess you would add tones, weather it be cross hatching or smudging large quantities of graphite.

The places nearest me all have skinny elderly models. It's really dependant on where you live.


That being said, look up plus sized models OP. There's plus sized pin up models (Good for difficult poses which will help you learn weight distribution) and other things.
