Do you know any artists that paint the sort of tower blocks found in urban and post-soviet europe? I was born in Kaunas, and i find these places tremendously moving, but i find this artwork quite hard to come by. One example is David Hepher's work, but i would be interested in other styles as well.
hope this is the right place to ask, i usually stay in /lit/ and i didn't see anything in your rules against recommendation requests.

Fucking commie blocks, they are so disgustingly depressing.

those are disgusting.
But yeah, you can make the artwork yourself, can't you? If you can't find anything about them.

Stålenhag has done a few pieces with similar architecture, although he is primarily inspired by 80's-90's Sweden

more disgusting than shitty, plastic, american suburban houses? at least tower blocks inspire as much awe as they do poverty. i'd rather have a small town of tower blocks and miles of woodland than fucking 50 miles of perpetual suburb like i get in Illinois.

Oh man, as a swede that picture gives so much nostalgia. God, those elephant and horse things that are in every single playground

I forget where this building's located but I think it's in Stockholm somewhere.
Difference between then and now is the all the satellite dishes facing eastward.
