I'm a fucking idiot /ic/
After years owning a tablet, only today I realized why it has been always so difficult for me to draw details and why my drawings doodles always looked so "large" at first.
Once I thought it was because I used resolutions too small, but if I doubled the resolutions, I'd get astronomical file sizes, so that couldn't be it.
Today I had an epiphany and finally understood that to get a circle of 1 inch on my screen, I had to draw a circle of HALF inch on my tablet. Which is why details were always impossible for me. Further, if I drew a line across my tablet, I'd get a line TWICE the size on screen.
You can laugh at me if you want, but I've always thought that it made no sense to zoom over 100% and that you had to think about drawing on a tablet like drawing on a paper, and what you'd see on screen would be what you'd see on a paper.
Turns out I'm a retard and I was wrong.

Mine is roughly the same size, but I'm usually zommed out or zoomed out of the document so the are I'm drawing in is generally very small, probably use about 25% of the tablet space or less.

No, dude you don't get it. It matters a lot. It's psychological. It's about motor-visual feedback.
If you have a tablet roughly the size of your monitor, then moving the stylus 1cm on your tablet moves the brush roughly 1cm on the screen. The visual feedback is roughly what you'd expect if you drew on paper.
Now if your tablet is much smaller like mine, you become confused because if you want to draw, say, a small flower you have to either draw a minuscule flower at 100% zoom with surgery precision, or draw a huge ass flower at 200%. Neither of these things feel like what's like drawing on paper.
So it's not about how much of the drawing are you use or how much you are zoomed in, but about how the tablet are is mapped to the screen coordinates

idk how I could be so retarded. I guess I my reasoning was "hey, this guy can do some very good drawing on paper. You can't zoom on paper. Therefore, you SHOULD be able to draw drawings as good at 100% zoom with a tablet."
