i went on his IG page lately and saw in description he wrote: "Eat your profile". as i saw it it hit me that i've seen lot of people using this as description. what the fuck does it mean? anybody knows?

Absolutely love his style. How would one imitate this style? In terms of the character design for Gorillaz and Tank Girl.

An excellent designer and cartoonist.

Seeing how his style has evolved from early Phase One Gorillaz is fascinating. Personally I think Phase 2 DD-era Hewlett was my fave, but I appreciate what he's doing

He uses strong exaggerated silhouettes varied linework and solid forms, things that used to be standard in cartooning. He's influenced by classic Mad Magazine cartoonists and it shows. All the people that imitate his style absolutely fail at it because they don't know how to do classic cartooning.

Look at Jack Davis and all the Mad/EC cartoonists to see where Hewlett comes from, they're masters of the form
