Dude, I am sorry to be the one tell you this, but the answer to your question, sadly, is "training" followed by "a lot".
Maybe if you try to change the technic to something you are more familiar with, like pencil and paper.
You could just ask someone that knows how to do that to do that but not shit.
Even if you had great anatomy/fundamentals, the techniques you're using here don't lend themselves to a good-looking picture. The shaky lines with little-to-no thickness variation and the haphazard "let me just put lines here" treatment on the hair stick out. The attempt at shading isn't accurate to how shadows fall on forms in real life, to say the least.

I've only been practicing for a month or so, and I'm pretty bad with the tablet. Figured it'd be useful to get another eye on the paper and to tell me what specifically is fucked up, cause sometimes you can't see it that well yourself, after you spend enough time on a piece.

Do you know of a good source for learning shading? I kind of just haphazardly threw it on.

You should put this aside and start another one but with a better anatomy, you can't improve this because the whole foundation is wrong. Repeat but learn from your mistakes.

Alright, thanks man.
