Like how much (if at all) better is it to have LCD screen to draw on instead of just a black box.

I never drew on a LCD tablet, only on cheap drawing tablets and it is rather hard to draw properly when you can't directly see your hand while drawing (at least for me, im a scrub). But then again those tablets with a screen cost a bunch more and the question is wether it is worth the price or not.

It's a great deal better but not dramatically so.
I'd say a Cintiq isn't worth the price, but there are affordable, nearly as good options such as Yiynova and Huion.
