Ill start the thread by posting a little 10 minute straight ahead excersize I made the other day.
Usually what I do it I just work straight ahead and make the timing up as I go.

You should make the lifting of the axe slower (more heft, more weight), the swing with more speed (or maybe a smear?), and when the axe hits I would let it linger for a second. It's overall just 2fast and makes it kinda weightless.
