sharing some of my artwork, done with pencils on paper
>>2797348
Pretty great Anon, love the mood and the texture. That strand of ghostly cloth dragging over the steps is fantastic.
I hope you're making an art dump otherwise you'll be rightfully eaten alive for not just posting in the drawthread
>>2797348
this is a stick up nigga, dump yo shit or get the fuck back to drawthread....on a side note really good drawing, nice and clear
heres some more
and more...
>>2797429
have you ever thought of scratchboard, Anon?
and moar...
i do like the scratchboard style, especially in books and all. im sticking with pencils and oil painting for now. heres my most recent oil painting
occasionaly i do paint something nice and serene
Mad jelly. Are you self taught? The only thing I could say to work on is things like human anatomy, which I can tell you're probably not fond of drawing. It stands out as kinda bad on some of the hands and faces. Otherwise professional tier stuff.
>>2797442
I found the first image posted to be the most distracting in terms of perspective especially with the slightly skewed vertical beam of light.
It's really good stuff either way, but the naivete of the perspective betrays the depth of the imagery and technique.
>>2797436
Fuck op, I thought they were all edgy and anxty, but this one gave me a really interesting feeling. Bravo I like this one.
>>2797348
These are the exact sort of scenes I love drawing.
yeah perspective is usually the hardest i find in drawing. still learning and all
heres is another drawing
i am mostly self taught, i studied in 3d, there was a tiny bit of drawing there. but yeah i just drew a lot since the begining, started painting with oils recently.
another drawing
>>2797554
Is your name Miura?
>>2797348

and one more..
Thanks for the feedback and critique dear anons
>>2797559

Give some info on yourself, because I really do like your art and the style that you have.
1. How long do you draw?
2. Did you go to art school? If so, ASP in Kraków or in Warsaw?
3. How much do you practice?
4. Do you try variety of mediums of do you have your favourite or one you are training yourself in right now?
5. How do you practice? Or do you try completing whole pieces, work on them as you go? Do you start with thumbnailing? What's your process?
6. Do you get money out of your art? Or do you work as illustrator/graphic designer somewhere? Or are you still in art school?
7. Recommend good atelier in Kraków or Warsaw?
What dimensions are these?
These are really great OP, even showed my bf who agrees they're bad ass too- keep doing what you're doing. You just inspired me to practice a fuck of a lot more than I have been, thanks
>>2797561
oohh... fuck...
Fuck this is some good, would love to see more.
>>2797668
excuse me my 4chan internet shyness, here you go http://www.zakisaati.com/
1.how long do i draw?
depends, for drawings, generally 1 or 2 weeks.
for paintings : couple of months, doing it part time cause im busy with job and other stuff
but ive been drawing most of my life in general, since i was a kid
2. i went to animation program in special effects, i had one or two drawing courses there for 1 semester, i did help a bit with anatomy and perspective. but most of it is self taught, obsessive work really.
but im sure there is a lot of talent in Poland and good schools there, many good artists from there. im in canada
3. as often as i can, nowadays not so much. busy with a film
4. generally simple material, mechanical pencils, the darkest led i can find. usually a boxcutter knife for sharpening just about everything. for oil paitings, well oil paint. still learning that, and struggling a bit.
5. yes, always with thumbnails first, and a lot of reference and research in the early stage. everything step by step, pretty linear really.
6. i've only made 100$ so far, most people try to screw you when make art for them, cause they think you're having fun with it. one client tried to pay me with a book as offering. im working in vfx for now.
7. im russian, we have not good connections with Poland, dunno really :P even though ive been there and its beautiful country. theres alot of good things on the web nowadays too for learning, you'd have to look.
>>2797901
and you inspire me to keep on going, thank you
>>2797787
17x14 inches and 11x14 inches for drawings
paintings are larger, on wood pannel mostly
another drawing
>>2797787
to give a better idea of scale
there is room for improvement, some are a bit better than others, but holy shit op, i really dig all of these! good atmosphere and mood. keep it up
Anon this is great, well done.
Great work man, you're gonna make it
>>2797554
This one is real fucking nice OP!
thanks guys, here is another drawing
heres a really old weird one, kind of suited for 4chan random section
heres a photoshop one
another photoshop drawing, pretty old but i still like it
You're an artist no doubt about it, but these drawings give this dark surrealist feel. Why is it so down?
>>2798590
whew, that's some next gen symbolism right there
>>2798602
well, everyone sees the world in his own way. im much more positive nowadays though, just hope my drawings are catching up with that
do you have an instagran?
>>2798579
what is the process when doing these heavy ones? Do you start with a sketch of outlines or do you just start smearing the paper with charcoal until you see a motive emerge?
crying myself to sleep tonight
godspeed you glorious bastard
>>2798927
i have a facebook page /zakisaatiart
and a website here www.zakisaati.com
>>2798978
i always start with thumbnails, do a couple. then i draw the outline directly there, starting with darkest areas. i smear in the end, once i have the general tones. i usually darken really by pressing hard on the pencil, then use that to smear. there is an eraser that i use for that, its that blue gum, erase. really useful for lighting, even for smearing and creating smooth transitions.
>>2799170
damn, dont cry...
happy new year to all
heres a last painting
>>2799221
The colors of the sky in this are really cute, it reminds me to William Turner's watercolors.
>>2799221
Dude I'm telling you again work on anatomy and gestures and you'll be god tier
>>2797566
this one is really lovely
>>2797554
inspiration for this? i have recurring dreams that are very similar to this theme
>pls let me post before thread archives
>>2804524
This one i saw while i was meditating, i saw like this pile of humans kind of spinning slowly around the center, it was probably more grim than the drawing, or not, im not sure anymore
>>2801529
Dude, you're right, im trying bro :)
i like how on 4chan people give you way more constructive criticism in one day, than i have ever received in 8 years on deviantart. which is why i closed that thing
one more drawing
an old drawing
a weird creepy one
another old drawing
this one is my most painful one to look at
another one
i also do 3d work
>>2805121
yikes. stick to paper man.
these are pretty cute man.
>>2805115
Is that a pool
>>2799219
what is thumbnailing?
>>2805121
I like this a lot....here I cropped it for you.
>>2805115
just scrolling down the thread and this is one of my favorites, actually. Yeah, the anatomy is fudgy and outright bad in places, but the quirky composition and clearly defined compositional elements make it fun to look at.
>>2797348
Are these based on any references?
>>2798084
what part of Canada are you in? I'm in Canada and looking to work with other artists in the future.
Great stuff OP, I could see your paper drawings featured on art covers of dark ambient/industrial music albums from the 80's, think of Nurse With Wound or something like that.
>>2798579
I fucking love the atmosphere in this one
>>2798579
oh no ... this hit me right in the feels, reminds me of the chechen deportations of 1944, great work anon!
>>2809207
this one was inspired by a song from the band with the strange name Godspeed You Black Emperor
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9Ty3YnWN80
>>2808176
montreal
>>2805477
this is thumbnailing, working on small size, working composition and lighting
if your drawing looks good on small, then it will only look better bigger

>>2805159
theres too many kinds of paper, you're being too vague, which kind, toilet paper maybe?
>>2805121
That would be best posted on /3/ or /p/ or /gd/
/ic/ won't take to kindly to it
Remember the golden rule: lurk moar faggot ^_^
I'm apprehensive to say I like these, they're neat ideas and the visual style is formulaic in a good way but you will never get outside of that very amateur look if you don't practice your fundamentals. It's one thing to have a style that breaks the fundamentals in a way that seems intentional, it's an entirely different situation to have that style but minus any knowledge of fundamentals and how to bend them to serve your purpose. Your art seems to fit into the latter unfortunately.
Spend a little less time trying to make something good and focus on what you learn while drawing/painting. With the next picture you do, try to incorporate something you're not super familliar with, or comfortable with, or lack knowledge of into the image and really focus on that particular aspect.
>>2805111
i love the main figure in this one, it looks really slick, but the hand hes reaching with doesnt seem to fit what hes trying to do. it looks like hes trying to pick cherries rather than grasping at the sky, the hand doesn't have the same strained and desperate look as the rest of the model. the fingers are not straight enough in particular, considering the desperation the rest of the image conveys. i would tilt the hand back just a tiny bit and arch the fingers backwards just a tiny bit, exaggerate it it like you did with the back.
>>2809819
nothing like southern internet hospitality, thank you dear sir.
>>2809922
i agree with what you said about the hand, now that i look at it again, thx
>>2809839
ill take that into consideration next time im drawing or painting. thanks
gonna make it
