Can someone teach me / show me, links, tutorials, names, words, techniques, programs etc on how to achieve this effect with my drawings?

And I know it's called pointilism or stippling, but I can't find any good tutorials on it on how to do it in a digital environment and get the exact same effect?

Also, do I use illustrator? Photoshop? What do I use? I want it to look exactly like this, crisp af.

Read up on Loomis, study his divided ball and plane and how he applies perspective.

Thanks man!!!
My first ball made out of points!
>>
>>2796238
if I were to do this digitally I'd use masks and spray tools and slowly build up the values
>>
>>2796267
In what program? I need it to have a crisp look to it and I will also be printing it out. As long as the photoshop Dpi is 300+ could I make a print out of it that looks extremely crisp?
>>

I'd go for 600 DPI but sure, why not.

You can make it look as crisp as you want, I don't see why not. I have no idea if using a hard spray tool can work since stippling is based on getting the dots closer or further to create values and I assume a spray tool would have the dots overlap. I don't know if it is possible to make a custom brush that keeps the dots separated, but I think it's pretty easy to get there.

Gimme 5 mins and I'll give it a try

Okay bro, thanks! The ball I made was with a custom brush I created right now, I think it looks decent.

probably not much better (if it's any better) but here's a custom brush

I've geared it for 600DPI, check it in print size

quick test on the eye

just make selections and play with the borders, then go over it again with an inker brush

not a digital artist but I hope that helped a bit
