I did after posting. I don't know the character and what gender it's even meant to be. But staches on grills isn't too uncommon. Happens in some minorities being naturally hairier, or hormone issues. Girls being totally hairless is a bit of an illusion. It's why I'm amused by the art and it's reaction. I wouldn't call it disgusting but it's not attractive either.

This is done almost exclusively by college aged women. What on earth would drive a young kid to decide they want to give their drawings hairy legs and a mustache in a completely unironic way? That's sort of like hating 4chan because of /b/ though. Yes, the site has a significant population of those people, and there's a little bleed-over now and then, but for the most part they're easily avoided. More easily than on 4chan, as a matter of fact.

It's always funny to me that in my experience I get exposed more to SJW / tumblrina shit on 4chan than anywhere else, because this site is obsessed with finding the worst of it and showing everyone.

Some of the reasons why "Tumblr" art is often so ugly:

1/? Thinking that just adding more lines and detail to a drawing can convey certain subtle shapes (such as the "Tumblr nose" being garishly red or covered in hatch marks that don't actually add to the depth of the shape, but instead make it look like the nose region is a gaping hole in the face) with no regard to what makes sense or even looks good. Lines on the cheekbones themselves but no shading under the cheekbones? Definitely makes sense. Doesn't make it look like your character has sharpie marks all over their cheeks at all. Looks great.

2/? Slap an obscene amount of colour onto your drawings. You know how John Singer Sargent would use blues while painting a pink pillow to convey the complexity of light and such? Do that, but butcher it entirely because you never actually learned colour or lighting or values. Make sure you give every colour of the rainbow representation in your work. Make it look "painterly" (ie use one of the textured brushes on sai or photoshop) to make it look even more mature, and don't bother to blend anything at all. Remember, if your work has every colour imaginable vying for the viewer's attention, with no real understanding of emphasis or focal points or anything, the viewer can't immediately tell that you have absolutely no idea what anatomy even is, or that you clearly referenced one head and forgot to even try to make the other one look human.

Keep the colours oversaturated, especially when shading skin, and make the hair simultaneously intricate and lazily done, such as by mirroring it (because all hair exhibits vertical symmetry) and relying on gradations and highlights to make it look visually pleasing. Shade the skin with red because that's definitely how skin works. Make your characters curvy so your art is inclusive, but don't forget the thigh gap, even if you need to completely butcher the idea of legs to achieve that.

When you're drawing someone who isn't albino, make them the ugliest shade of greenish brown imaginable. It doesn't matter that no healthy human has ever had skin that shade of green before. Add a few tiny noncommittal hatch marks at random points on the skin to imply cellulite or stretch marks. Note that none of this actually looks how these physical traits appear in real life, because apparently it is impossible to google pictures of real humans with real skin and see what that looks like.

Don't bother making a work stylistically consistent; you can have giant, malformed anime eyes on a work that otherwise attempts semi-realism, and that's perfectly alright. The back of the skull can just end abruptly and does not need to appear to smoothly connect to the neck. The curvature of the face consisting of the brow, the subtle dip of where the eye socket is, and the subsequent slope of the cheekbone can just be put wherever; it's not like the shape of the outline of the face needs to somehow correspond and remain in proportion with the eyes and eyebrows or whatever. Just throw some curves vaguely where they need to go, and do the colouring and lineart in such a way as to make your work look as flat as possible.
