Sakimi is not the best by a long shot so I understand on a primal level why she gets so much heat for her patreon-fueled affluence (jealousy), but she is a solid-and prolific-illustrator. There are few users on /ic/ that I would say are anywhere near her level, and the reason being is that by the time an anon on /ic/ is done spitefully pointing out a handful of the flaws in one of her individual pieces and claiming they make her a hack, she's already drawn and fully rendered two more. She paints and draws more in a month, maybe a week, than many of us do in an entire year.

because by the time she was 14 she could already do pic related. and right now she's a mass producing machine that can finish up to 20 pieces per month. i can barely do 2. she's not ruan jia level by any means, but idk if she even wants to be. her style looks like it evolved 100% to sell at cons, being so colorful, dynamic, and character-centric.
