I don't know a lot about it, is Photoshop vastly better?

i tried a version years ago. technically you could use it to paint, but for practical purposes it was useless, because of the lag and the lack of appropriate tools.

Hmm I was worried about the tools. Thanks for the reply

It's not bad for artwork. It's not as photo-intensive as photoshop. It's like having the bits most digital artists actually use from corel painter, adobe illustrator, and photoshop, all in one package and for a fraction of the price.

Versions X6 through X9 haven't really added much to those key tools, mostly only adding photo retouching stuff, so you can usually wait a couple of releases before feeling the need to upgrade. If you can get X8 for less, save the money, there's hardly anything you'll use that's new in X9.

It does have some quirks, but the tools are easy to use and the art media work well. Painter is much more versatile, but costs the world.

what the fuck, Paint Shop Pro still exists?!

So much nostalgia from the early 2000s

I used to teach a class using this tool. It was back almost 13 years ago. The one thing I liked was it is easy to use. I was also working with Photoshop 6 at the time. Photoshop has a steeper learning curve. I was using it for the basics for web graphics and not a full painting tool.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
