Let's have fun with thumbnails!
Next week, we should start a collab thread; but before starting any illustration, thumbnailing is important!
So post abstract, value, or color thumbnails.
To kickstart the noble collaboration spirit, improve or expand on previous thumbs.
Get that speedpainting creativity flow for a change from your hard loomis studies!

How does this work?
>>2780564
We all have ways to help us generate new paintings.
For some it might be getting the palette, or some abstract arrangement of forms, something in-between; from which you roarsach your way to full painting. Or you might be more thoughtful about the process?
Pic related has a bit of each.
So the idea would be to either post a bunch of the thumbs that you prefer to do/use, and/or take some thumbs posted by someone else and inspire you, and modify them as you like.
...or you can also take a thumb, and throw around a 10/20 minutes draft for a painting to see where it goes.
The whole idea is to have fun sharing the initial generative process, and discovering new methods that we can incorporate in our workflow.
Thus would be more fun if we actually had a theme or something to work with. Thumbnails for the sake of problem solving tend to turn out better than thumbnails where one just sketches random shit.
