If you're learning I recommend The Art of Comic Book Inking. It talks about brush technique almost entirely, but it's applicable to pen and ink as well and it's a great book.

This kind of style is THE comics style for me, it's just so big and bold and perfect for comics. Like Crumb's cleaner cartooning, or Steve Mannion's work.
