I wish I had some to start but I know jack shit on the topic, I'm actually here for help on where to start.
Pic unrelated
No clue if these are /ic/ approved, but my go-tos are:
JH Williams III's Batwoman run.
Shinichi Sakamoto's art in Kokou no Hito.
Sophie Campbell's early work (Wet Moon 1-3, Water Baby, The Abandoned)
Inio Asano's Oyasumi PunPun.
Uh, I really like Incase's work (Alfie is his current webcomic, alongside some porn oneshots and pinups), and he posts a lot of progress work on his twitter which is neat to see.

Watchmen?

blacksad

Have both of them, they're fucking masterpieces when it comes to graphic novels.
Ranx
Liberatore was a god damn genious. Some panels are kind of technically fucked up, but that's definitely due to his substance abuse and alcoholism.
>>2775660
just finished this
AMAZING
Anything by Moebius.
Also, anything by Will Eisner. He's the master of sequential storytelling, and his inkwork is great.
Some of his depictions of non-whites can look a little """"""""""""""""""""""""""problametic""""""""""""""""" by modern standards, if that's the sort of thing you concern yourself with, but were decently progressive for their time.

Beautiful Darkness is really cool.
>>2774508
Theatrics has decent art.
>>2777029
REALLY pretentious webcomic artist who puts out about 7 pages a year.
His fans are schmucks who throw money at him.
Worst part is he's a decent artist who in any just world would be doing concept art for indie video games and just making end's meet.
Instead he's probably a millionaire...
>>2777021
aw man i have that one, its neat
leaves a lot of room for interpretation
>>2777033
Talking about mediocrity, haha. His art is shit tbqh
>>2777049
It's OK. It's literally iphone game concept art level.
He would be a lot better if he didn't waster half his time getting in twitter fights.

Saw bits of this online, looks real nice
I am a big fan on the Hanuka brothers.
I personally like what Thomas Ott did in "Exit", he has very interesting technique of scratching ink with knife.
Dave McKean is pretty also pretty ebin artist, his "Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth" has awesome art, but he also made very nice "Cages".
Oh and Chris Ware has very nice style and I love how he makes his panel layouts.
Bone
Slaine: The Horned God
Melting Pot (Heavy Metal Magazine)
Superman: Peace on Earth (Story is pretentious as fuck but the art is great)
And >>2775660. 1000 times >>2775660. Every d/ic/k must read Blacksad.
>>2777077
Oh and for erotic comics there's Milo Manara, most notably with "Click" and "Indian Summer".
I personally also like Grzegorz RosiĆski for his "Thorgal".
>>2777092
Your french nationality is showing...
>>2776567
I really like moebius but I hate how some of his panels are masterpieces and the panel immediatly after that is /beg/ tier
it's really weird
>>2777134
get the fuck outta here.
>>2777012
Pretty ironic, considering his comics are bellow mediocre.
>>2777358
don't be rude ;-;
I just feel like he spent too much time on large pannels and ended up doing the small ones in 3 seconds
>>2777134
I love Moebius but he's always been better as an illustrator than a comic artist.
tank girl's bretty gud
............bump
anything by sean gordon murphy is pretty great
>>2777021
thats a great one
>>2774508
heh, you picked that file from me.
It's zootopia concept art btw, cool stuff
Lint by Chris Ware
>>2781038

>>2777012
