Posted this before, but here it is again (with minor distortion from the panorama)

Custom built PC with a Cintiq 22HD Touch and a 1440p monitor, in a 1br apartment I split with my girlfriend. Real cozy stuff.

Probably most proud of the chair actually - it's a ~$900 Steelcase office chair I got on craigslist for $100. This is coming from a $45 Walmart chair that absolutely killed my back. I really underestimated how much difference a good chair can make, especially when you're sitting for many hours in the day.

It's an Ikea table. It's sort of like a faux-wood, and its not attached to the legs at all. The table part just lays across the legs. The whole thing is surprisingly light, but pretty sturdy. Not too bad for $60.

I couldn't recommend the 22HD Touch enough. I'm sure there are some cheaper alternatives, but fuck - it's so nice. It seems very well built and reliable. I've ended up using the touch functions more than I thought too - it makes it really fun to pan + zoom. The side buttons are easily customizable and you don't often have to take your hands off it if you configure them right. The size is totally solid too. I don't think I'd enjoy working on the 13" - it just sounds too cramped.The stand is really easy to use too, in terms of being able to rotate and change the angle of it.

I upgraded to that from an Intuos 4 I've had since 2009. The difference is - in my opinion - very noticeable in terms of workflow. I'm able to work more deliberately and make way less mistakes, and it's just always a blast to use. Working on an Intuos tablet just isn't as enjoyable anymore. It's actually fun to draw on a screen.

I don't think you'll be disappointed if you get one, but I understand its a lot of money. You could definitely live without the touch functionality, but I do enjoy it. I'd for sure get it if you can afford it.

News to me, but there is always an inherent risk when buying new hardware that you might end up with a dud. Any monitor you research is going to have people running into issues like this. It happens.

There are a few cons to Cintiqs, and this is one of them I suppose. The colors & brightness are in fact slightly muted. For me it's a non issue, though. It still looks great and is very accurate. If I want another look at the colors of something, I just drag the image onto my ASUS 1440p monitor, which has a much better range.

However, I've used it on a 10.1in. Microsoft Surface with it and honestly the extra slow movement felt kind of groovy-it's almost like having the stabilizer on all day erryday.

The Giano is like $150, not very expensive. Honestly any amount of money you're willing to spend is pretty much worth it in the end, within reason (don't buy a >$150 tablet ffs). Most anything bought can be readily sold these days, you'll be able to get a good chunk of your money back in the end no matter what way you go, don't look at it like you're throwing your money away or something.

I don't know if it has a name, it's just a 50's decal that I found swap meet.
It's actually connected to the desk. The table only has two legs, so the shelving unit acts as the other balance. I mostly store all my pencils/markers/guides there. It looks slightly chaotic but is functional so I don't have to think much about getting a new pencil or sheet of paper.

either you need a new pair in case your eye sight changed or you have bad posture, like I used to

to test the posture put yourself with the back to a wall, ass and shoulders touching it. If the back of your head is not touching the wall to have to push your head back until you hit the wall, and remember this sensation. Then keep changing your neck position everywhere you are, based on that sensation. And remember not to be too stiff, do some spins with your head from time to time

After a while you will get used to it. If this is not your problem then go and check your eyes

The problem might be from somewhere else too. It'f up to you to troubleshot it and find what works for you.
