Tumblr style is the unholy admixture of calarts and franco-belgian comics. It's where Ouiabeaux meet year-one color theory in background art dropouts.

At one time long ago, most of the art was either distinctly Eurocomic or straight out of the growing digital cartoon art bible. Then the meme machine churned for a few years and this is what we have. Babbys first cartooning construction, euro detailing, calarts color palettes used for background scenery applied to characters in garish ways. Throw in high functioning autism and an obsession with identity politics leading to virtue signalling diversity and you have tumblr OCs, donut steel.
