Sup guys, back in /tg/ they where talking about a Psychic Princess, so i've made some concepts for her to decide her appearance.
While some say she sould be sitting with an elegant dress and a mask, or even laying, since she move herself with her mind i gave her a levitation pose. They also pointed out that she must drool because... i don't remember.
So, wich one you think is better

Moth Princess and PRINCESS GET!
>>2762339
I like the concept of a bulb-humpin' moth.
With that said...
The body seems alright, but definitely consider dividing up her back a bit with more of a visible spine next time. The shading in that area certainly helps, but showing a bit of 'backbone' could go a long way to giving the piece a bit more sense of form. Her feet could stand to be a bit bigger as well-our feet are a smidge longer than our heads (when seen from the front) are tall.
Here, have a Goblin Princess made by me.
Drink Responsibly, tho, or at least don't drive.

Strong tangent running through the side of his face. His ear extending down to his jawline makes it look more like a tumor than anything and his horns being so uneven creates a conflict with his otherwise spacially symmetrical facial features. His neck is so long and his belt is so low that his body appears quite distorted.
While I think his extremities are a bit small and in the hands' case asymmetrical, the legs look pretty good and I like the designs on the cape.
>>2764461
Not entirely sure what's going on with the snout but the body looks pretty good for the most part. With tails try and keep them emerging a little higher on the back at the top of the sacrum, with how big it is it looks like a good portion of it is coming straight out of her ass crack. Those glutes need to be free.
>>2765190
Pretty decent characterization all around, visible hand looks kind of off. If you're not sure how they work intuitively always use your own as a reference. Also consider shifting its position in front of that tuft of fur or clearing it from its contours entirely.
>>2765893
After looking a bit and measuring the nearest arm appears to be very slightly too long. It's not heinous or anything. I feel like if that subtle ghosted line just above the current position of the broom was angled up just a few degrees and the contour of the broom was fitted into that position it'd be close to perfect- after re-affixing the hands to it of course
I also feel like the fibular/tibial portion of her leg may be slightly too short.
I love the subtle muscles in visible in the torso, really well done overall.
>>2766309
Nothing lasts forever but it's hard to believe we've gone almost two years now. I'm not sure how much I have left in the gas tank but I've liked doing these threads and seeing how people run with the characters.
Anyway, though there are asymmetries here and there. I really like the personality in this piece.
I accidentally a thing and she kinda looks like a cross between Knight and Primeval Princesses, so i thought i'd post. Might color it later too, so if you niggas have some suggestions of what colors should i use, i'm happy to hear them.

Don't beat yourself up, it could be much worse. Mind the facial features-they don't seem to be following a logical path to a vanishing point. The stage-right ear is lower than the stage-left ear, the stage-right eye is higher than the stage-left, and the stage-left portion of the beak is a bit higher than its counterpart. Ideally these things should all converge towards the same point.
>>2772898
Cute scene. The perspective on the cube face is pretty tough, like the other guy said, do your best to think of it like a cube and divide the features and those projections along the contours accordingly. The humeral portion of the stage-right arm appears flat, use the appearance of its counterpart on the left to take stock of what it should look like as a cylinder in perspective. Note that you've placed the right hand and arm a bit farther from the body than the left, once you've corrected this discrepancy it should be easier to envision the proper cylindrical form of that arm. Regardless of whether you move the position of the forearm and hand though, you should try fiddling with that part a bit and giving it some form.
>>2773354
The stance is a little goofy and the bod is a little thick and squat-her legs almost appear to be sprouting directly from her ribcage. In a female character, much like an actual female, it's normal to compress the obliques inward a bit assuming she isn't a tubster. Her stage-right forearm doesn't appear to taper in towards the wrist either. Keep practicing fambinosaur, BELIEVE

>>2774802
If you're going to treat the piece as a full on painting rather than a sketch definitely consider really getting in there and blending all of the different colors as best you can. Make some of those hard edges transition into softer ones. Refine the linework and things of that nature. It doesn't look too shabby, but it does look fairly raw in some areas. Mind the abdominal area in particular it kind of looks like some kind of mechanical sloping shape.

Mind your proportions, she looks like she has about a head and a half worth of width between the stage-right portion of her head her shoulder on that side.
>>2781396
Adorable, though a bit "safe if that makes sense. You didn't really attempt to portray the monster in th monster girl, but what is there is pretty well done. Consider the relationship between the human features of her face and the monster features closer to the top oof her head, the "eyes". You can kind of see how they're not quite in the right spot.
>>2781522
I like the general design, but there are some hiccups. The hand holding the lance is huge to the point of being grotesque. Her torso to the base of the pelvis looks a little long (about half a head) and using that as your guide it appears you may have made the arm a bit long as consequence.
>>2782838
Could be worse. Decent head construction, belly button may be a bit low, stage right leg looks a bit thicker than its counterpart at the femoral portion. Keep practicing fambino.
>>2784246
Pretty good. I'm hesitant to say that the dynamic foreshortening attempt was a complete success, but the drawing is solid overall. I feel that the pattern on her outfit kind of flattens out her curves. One thing you can try next time on a more serious drawing is to draw the pattern separately and then use the "warp tool" (assuming you're using photoshop) and some of the other transformation tools to fit the pattern across the form after the fact instead of attempting to draw it and account for the surface it's on at the same time.
>>2784246
The foreshortening is a bit extreme, her lower body appears to be tiny.

Very cute, the simple dodge-tool rendering is effectively used here. It almost looks like something you'd see in a western animator's portfolio.
There are several tangents involving the wrist "poof" on her stage-right arm, both the contour of the back of her head, her hairline, bangs, eyelashes are all being encroached on by it. There's also a tangent made by her stage-left wing both at that fold where the forearm and upper arm meet. Try and find a work around or just look out for that in your next piece. If you are trying to portray her stage-right arm wrapping around the back of her head it's not reading very well to me-the contour of her hand on that same arm is broken up by that contour of the back of her head and it becomes difficult to tell what's going on (I believe she's running her hand through her hair but with the way it originates both higher than her elbow at the top and as low as it does on the bottom, further combined with those aforementioned tangents, makes things a little confusing).
Also, her stage-left forearm is a bit "overdeveloped" so to speak, easily being one and a half times the size of her upper arm of. Maybe tame that a bit.
Otherwise, cute piece. Keep it up fambino
>>2788949
I sort of don't want to be 'that guy', anon, but I've seen a lot of your posts and I can't take it anymore.
Stage left means a performer on the stage's left, when they're looking at us. So stage left is the viewer's right.
To be absolutely clear, in this picture, moth-hime is striding towards stage right.
>>2766727
>drawing a straight line on a curved spine
>>2788966
I see, I always thought stage-left/right was x's appearance to the audience. Thanks for the correction. I guess I'll just stick to "left" and "right", going forward.
>>2788986
No problem, anon; we all make mistakes. Proper left is an additional term that refers specifically to the figure's left. In that picture, for example, her proper left is the same as stage left, but they'd be different if her back were turned to us.
But it's probably easier and clearer to everyone involved to just use stuff like 'her left' or 'our left', which are still totally unambiguous.
>>2788974
Sorry for the confusion but that's not a reference to the spine at all, but the combined length of the upper and lower arms were they at rest.
>>2788991
"our left/right"
The fact I was using an over-extravagant term completely wrong is bad enough, but to think that it never even crossed my mind to use something as simple as that is quite embarrassing.
Thank you anon, I promise I'll never misuse theater terminology again.

A substantial improvement over your previous attempt. Mind that sleeve; unless you intended it to be "pointy" like that, try and envision it wrapping around the cylindrical form of her arm, should be rounded off a but more. It seems you've given her a bit of extra space between her right arm and shoulder (our view) and her head and neck versus their counterparts on the left (it's noteworthy that you did mostly erase it though the arm is still originating from there). However, because you erased it and let the hair cover everything there wouldn't necessarily be a huge change in the placement of that arm from where it is currently, it would probably just emerge from the contour of that side of her body a bit closer to it is all.

Lots of harsh lines, the hand on our right clasping the helmet looks terrifying, our hands have a little "webbing" made from extra skin between our thumb and index finger but certainly not that much. Keep practicing!
>>2799558
Very nice, unfortunately that sash on the right hand side really creates an optical illusion and looks more like negative space because of its similarity with the background color. I would consider adding a hue to it of some sort. It looks great overall though, really.
>>2799559
Very cute face, everything else is very "busy" though which makes it a little hard to look at. Try and cut back on any potentially unnecessary details in your designs and investigate the concept of "line tangents" as this piece is suffering from quite a few. Keep practicing!
>>2799634
Good pose, hands are ably done.
>>2800205
Very well done. I feel like her eye on our left which is turning away might appear a bit too small, though. It should perhaps appear at a somewhat reduced size due to the angle, but having them be the same size might be preferable in this instance; note the headband and the relation of that eye and eyebrow to it.
The rendering is economical but very well done.
