Does anyone on /ic/ use a drafting table when drawing? I might buy this one for $140. It's pretty huge. What do you guys think?
you only need a table, rest it in your legs and your desk and there you go for 10$
save the 130$ for when you're starving

meme table

What does that even mean? I don't speak internet faggot.

in normie terms it means that the table is overpriced so yu should look for something else, i personally recommend getting a huge desk because i prefer drawing in a lower position than sittin on a bretty tall chair

I think this table is 53" x 30". Seems pretty huge. It has adjustable height also so that wouldn't be a problem. Am I kidding myself to think that this would make drawing easier/better?

/ic/ really is the board for normies

You could buy a newsprint board and lean it on practically anything in your home.

Take it from someone who didn't learn to draw and bought a high quality art table. It sat for years starring at me mocking me.
Till one day I stopped playing video games and being a shitter.
I started learning to draw, and used a comfy chair to sit at the drawing table. Now fast forward a few years. This art table has been a life saver for my back and being comfy when you draw is important. I have a "big desk" normal flat one I put a 22inc XP-pen digital drawing screen on. My set-up is an L layout. Well flip that L upside down. I can draw digitally and when I want to draw traditionally, I just turn facing my art table. 10/10 would waste money needlessly only to actually use it years later and its been useful ever since.

Can you post a picture of your setup? I can't really visualize it but the L shape sounds like something I would want to get. And did you say that you use the xp-pen on the slanted table, how does that work? Thanks for the serious response!

The wood will cost more than $140. I might as well go with the shitty cheap plastic as long as it works.

mfw I can't get one because I don't have room for it.
>>2753478
mfw I bought one despite having no room and now it's sitting against the wall still packed in the box
>>2753478
Same. I switched my bed to a futon in hopes of squeezing one in but there's just shit around I don't need.

drafting tables are nicer on the back then having a board and leaning it on shit
if youre not a poor fag get it otherwise just use the board

Is the pic in the OP considered a drafting table?
