>Constructive critiques only.
You know, when you state rules like that it only makes your insecurity clear. Sharks smell fear.
Anyway, finish the fucking picture before you render it. And watch torso length - good rule of thumb is that the hand, outstretched, will form a perfect palm over the crotch. Not halfway down the thighs, just the junk.
>>2750622
>Sharks smell fear.
Nah, I was just hoping that it wouldn't devolve into a shit-flinging contest like usual.
Thanks for the advice, I'll make the crotch lower and try to lengthen the torso.

YOUR DRAWING IS POO-POO
AND THERE IS NO LOO BIG ENOUGH TO CONTAIN SUCH PEE-PEE FOO-FOO
BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME
Here's a quick comic-y sketch I did
Critique as hard as you would smash that mf like button, and Or tell me what you like.
>>2750603
I like the design aspects of your suit, along with the weapon. Gj, although the chin is very narrow in proportion to the forehead.
>>2750603
The trunk is too short and you should'nt be afraid of practicing how into proper hands and feet. Other than that your girl shows the typical amateur stiffness, with a safe pose without dynamism, so go practice poses and fix it with references.
>tfw people will just go NIGGER NIGGER LOOMIS 'you into oblivion.
>>2751466
Kek there is nothing here to critique. Fun drawing though I suppose.
>>2751482
Not bad, although around her neck it looks less like hair and more like she's lying in a pool of blood
>>2751482
Legs and hips especially are going to be reworked hard. Now even their rough sillhouettes look bad and totally disconnected from the body.
Rest is fine/nice though, I like it. I'm pretty sure you are also aware of the problems I pointed out.
>>2751487
Yeah, I tried to work them into the picture in addition to the bed she's propped against and the whole thing ended up looking a bit cramped and unnatural.
>>2751481
Fine what about this one? Also quick, I dont want to put any fully completed ones.
Had a lot of fun with this little still life
I like to make red notes for myself so I won't forget what I'm doing. This is just like 20 min. into this shit. She's gonna be some sort of dragon queen holding a shiny dragon egg above her head and there's going to be a crowd around her. Everybody's a huge fan etc. Two guys are gonna be holding her dress. One of them is gonna be smelling it like a proper peasant. Lighting's gonna be from the front and the shiny egg on her hand so foreground+the queen's gonna be illuminated basically. Hard to say anything yet. Dunno if it's gonna be good. Any feedback on the composition would be nice as it's the only thing I think I've got down at this point...
>>2751672
Fuck. The site won't let me delete the huge file. Oh well... Here it is again. Smaller. What ever. Sorry guys.
Redesigning a character of something i wanna work on, to enrich my portfolio. This is just a quick sketch i did a few days ago, i wanna plan it out before attempting to model it in Maya.
>>2751683
This is super basic. Do you have something like Z-brush or Mudbox to get your shit more drawn out before going into Maya? You could probably make this work if you're really good at 3D or but at this point it's not looking very interesting...
>>2751507
I'd much prefer to see some of your "Fully completed ones" or just something more thought out so I could actually give some critique. That's just a re-he-heally basic doodle with bascially 0% design put in. It's basically impossible to say anything about it at this point...
>>2750603
so...pretty much the draw thread.
fuck off snowflake.
>>2751694
I'm not OP but I couldn't really find a draw thread on the first three or so pages so I just came here. I don't think that any of this shit matters as long as people can post their shit and get critiqued.
>>2751697
>on the first three or so pages
New to imageboards?
Hit the "Catalog" button at the top or bottom of the page.
>>2751686
I do have Zbrush. I was thinking maybe making the base mesh in Maya and make a high poly sculpt in Zbrush. i do realize that i could just do it all in Z, but maya is really comfortable to make simple low polys for me. Still not sure sure if i should do texture painting in 3d coat or substance painter. And yeah, its plain and basic, still not sure about it.
>>2751700
Nahh man. I'm so old that they didn't have that button last time I was here so thanks for the tip (I'm not even sarcastic). Anyways I couldn't find a proper draw thread from the "Catalog" either and I really don't think it matters where people post their stuff as long as it's on this board and they get the critique that they need.
>>2751705
Yeah, it's just that I'm not sure that drawing this stuff out is the best way to go since you don't seem to be super comfortable with it. I'd fucking love to see what you do with Maya or what ever. I'm guessing you're gonna do a proper model with proper topology up there (?). Anyways designing stuff like this is IMO much easier with Zbrush or Mudbox so if you have that stuff fucking do it (unless you're Anthony Jones or James Zapata or some shit).
>>2751710
>Anyways I couldn't find a proper draw thread
You got "Show OP comment" turned on in the upper right field in the page, right?
>>2751716
Yep. I had it on. Should I have it off? I'm really sorry for being such a fucking grandpa but I haven't really been here for about 6 years so I don't know how any of this works anymore. Turned it off and still can't find a draw thread though...
>>2751710
>so old they did not have it last time i was here
so that just means you are an old-newfag.
>>2751723
Well I gotta admit that that's probably the best way to put it... I'm just here to give people feedback and get better myself so don't mind me.
Something is off with the leg but i don't know what
>>2751749
Tilt the leg slightly more towards the body or give a more 3/4-ish look to the head on the left. Also, it is curved, which looks a bit weird
40 min value practice.
>>2751786
Curved? and 3/4-ish? what do you mean?
>>2751693
Alright fine. I will post two. I don' t have many digital finished ones, Im still getting into the digital world of it.
>>2751693
>>2752059
Just a shading exercise but more finished than a lot of my digital works.
>>2751661
Love your linework. I have seen many people digitally paint apples and their strokes just were not natural to the way an apple would look. (Eg: too straight for it's shape or too curved.)
Still life. What can i work on ?
>>2751661
Just looking at the thumbnail it looks good value wise. Zooming in it's still too much muddy and not well defined, use hard brush more and don't be afraid to use full on opacity at the render stage. For your colors, i think you don't contrast enough, your highlight is too white and your mid tones aren't saturated.
Some random characters
Already finished but open to critique.
>>2752300
haha no it isn't, it's true that i should have casted a shadow further in his mouth, i didn't for unknown reasons. Thank you
>>2752276
Make your brights brighter and your darks darker. the edges need more definition as well
Made some edits to her pose. Finished linework. Started value mock-up
>>2753605
It's been like three days, there's working slow and then there's ridiculous.
>>2753612
Some of us have jobs. Or school. I have both.
>>2753723
It's a static pose on a blank background.
>>2753724
Yes. What's your point?
