Hello everyone. Recently I've been selling overwatch prints and other merch (nothing nsfw) and, unsurprisingly, it's been going very well. I'm doing commissions on the side and selling prints has been a great addition to my income.
However, like every other blizz fanboy, I've always wanted to work at blizzard. I'm working towards that goal, and I think I'll have a fair chance in 3-4 years. Will selling fanart jeopardize my chances of getting a job with them? I know they're pretty strict with copyright.
TL;DR have I fucked up by selling fanart of a company I want to work for?

you can always swap your gender and claim they're thansphobes if they get that up

I have no idea what Blizzard's stance on things are, but presumably a company would be happy to hire someone who already is well versed with their IPs and has a large fan following.
If you're worried though just stop selling anything that infringes on them. By the time you get good enough to have a serious shot at getting work for them it will all be so far in the past they shouldn't care.

I guess you're right, I'll just stop selling and concentrate on my studies.
I did enjoy making the merch; but I don't want to do fan art forever, so it's probably for the best
