i dont understand this draw.
but...is good!
>>2739779
Agreed, good line quality, control and shorthand.
>>2739848
We look forward to seeing more. Keep it up anon
Been 2 weeks I haven't draw anything :(
>>2739759
Here's something else. I always feel more energetic when drawing small.
Guess I still need much more practice.
Specially in rendering.
>>2740500
Focus intially on defining the masses in perspective. Then determine your lighting and shade appropriately.
>>2740519
Nice
Experiment with varying your line weight more. Many uses in its variation. A good tool to add to your arsenal.
>>2740537
Well done. Work on your line confidence anon

Thanks for the advice. I'll try to experiment more with it from now on.
Am I the only one that fills the need to not leave any white space without drawing?
People say they fill sketchbooks quickly but only if you make a drawing per page, leaving a ton of space.
Unless you are kgj
I love these threads and want more people to post... So I'll contribute
I should probably start a sketchbook. I've only ever done my shit on random pieces of paper I find.
ping pong players are fun to draw yo

How to bukkake lead on page like this and have it not smudge like a motherfucker?
>>2745708
You don't.
>>2745714
Oh no my pencil sketches are gonna remain contour heavy with slight hatching forever.
>>2745717
You just need to learn how to render with a pencil lightly and you can achieve that.
Also, use pic related if it's so hard for you to get soft gradations with a pencil.
>>2745683
what did you use for coloring?

The person who posted the sketches here, I use the whole range of pencils 7h-8b, for darks I sharpen my very soft pencils to a long sharp point and push them with a bit of pressure in small very parallel strokes onto the paper, harder pencils and less pushing for lighter areas. But before I do that I make a quick sketch with hb that that is very light so the lines won't show when I add the values, when I am done I put a bit of fixative and no smudgies happen. But make sure you have lines that work before doing this, because when you put down the darks you can't go back! I also get rid of some bits of paper texture with a sharp much pencil. Also be careful that you don't smudge your drawings while working on them with your hand before putting fixative if you are doing it this way. I hope it helps :)

Oops typed with phone and it changed my word.. much pencil is mechanical pencil!
>>2745708
Use bound books and they minimize smudging.
If you're using loose mediums or a spiral pad the binder clip will help reduce smudging. Wax paper overlay can help as well if you need to transport before using fixative.

Some of my pages have one figure, other dozens.
Do your thing chicken wing, whatever butters your biscuit.
>>2745729
Don't use these unless you are already adept at proper value placement/control.

a $4 set of prang watercolors

Nice, but you should really try to leave some areas unpainted for strong accents. Really makes a big difference.

I agree, in the early stages of watercolor usage; thanks for the reminder
