Am I allowed to finish this book in one or two weeks?
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that book is garbage
You can draw a shitty eye in 30 days
nice book
>in one month or less
I'm pretty sure you'll be OK.
one week is easily doable when considering the later lessons in the book are pointless. focus on what he says about shapes and shadows
Post the table of contents, OP. Lots of those books are trash.

This is the author's art, I don't think that this book is going to be all that informative.

What books/tutorials do you recommend then?

Depends, what are your current goals? Are you a complete beginner?

Complete beginner. Want to do photorealistic shit.

If you just want to draw from photos, it would be worthwhile to learn the gridding method ( http://www.art-is-fun.com/grid-method/ ) and how to handle the medium of your choice.
If you want to learn how to draw without pure reliance on photos, keys to drawing by Bert Dodson is reccomended. (And of course theres also obligatory Loomis)

I'd pull an all-nighter and finish it in one day to maximise my at gains.
If you read all of it once every day, you could be a pro in a week.
