How do you get better with getting colors right, I feel like i am doing the exact same shit everytime, ill dump some 30 minutes movie (or tv shows)paintings
if its too shitty to continue, just tell me, i am drawing for a few years now
Work on your drawing and values before even thinking about color. Study your Loomis/Vilppu/Watts/Hampton/Bridgman.
Don't use black when painting skin tones.

Spend longer than 30 minutes for now, you are not yet at a level to paint that quickly.
Don't rely on photos to learn colour. Paint from life or master paintings.
Colour has 3 objective components (Hue, Value, Saturation) and one subjective component (Temperature). If the colour looks wrong, then you have one or more of the above components incorrect, just go through them each one by one to check which it is.
OP, you need to use a small quantity of blue or green in your skin tones to replace black and gray when when you mix shadows.

Yeah I get it but its still about picking right colors. I dont get how anyone can do that perfectly without colorpicking

Fuck, he looks so retarded. lol

1. Don't fucking blend you asshole, it destroys paintings. Just lay colors down. If color doesn't fit - you make the same stroke over it with 100% opacity, you work it like a paint. Don't worry about it looking rough. Just lay colors with proper values.
And don't fucking blend.
Other than that - I'm a n00b and lazy dick as well, but see what I did with some brightness sliders inside paint.net. Deeper shadows/bigger highlights/color contrasts make a piece more dramatic and frankly more interesting.
See what painters say about edges of color. Also standard reference to Gurney and Hornung (I recommend this one because it proposes color studies that actually teach you something and this isn't just a pretty book with some info like Gurney)

Oh and here is previous one after applying some very high sharpening filter. Notice how sharper edges influence the features.

>dont blend
that is a good advice but I fear that it will be too difficult for me to actually pick colors everytime
those who can paint realistic shit are fucking gods

You can get pretty much with everything if you just keep values more or less right. You can draw portrait in greens and violets and it will still look cool.
