So, I just found out that Peter Han did a kickstarter to publish his Dynamic Sketching course (CGMA) in book form! Not had a proper look, but it looks pretty fuckin' good, and I know a lot of people here like his courses.

It's available as a PDF, so you can find that online. :)

I love his work, but the book sucks ass.

How come?

The other guy here, but it just sucks. Check out art book thread, I got it from there.

Just downloaded it and holy shit what are those paintings? They're awful. It looks like a collection of his worst pieces he couldn't use anywhere else.
>>2733830
Post a couple in this thread. I don't want to waste bandwidth downloading an entire shitty book, but I want to see how bad it really is.
>>2733819
It's basically a hundred pages of sketches with a little commentary (and one that is neither particularly useful nor brilliant). It's *kinda* good if you're looking for an art book full of well made sketches, but if you want to actually learn something go for something else.

Post your work master draughtsman
Who cares? If you want to learn sketching go watch Scott Robertson or read the Sketching Drawing series from Koss what's her name.

I'm getting a lotta lewd on Google.

Are you just trying to seem smart?

I mean this ones, you need to have solid knowledge of basic perspective though, at the very least.

From my understanding, the book was originally just made to be his own personal use reference book and then later he decided to publish it, and he didn't want to edit it at all so that it would feel more organic or something. I don't think he's the best painter, but I didn't buy the book for his paintings so I don't care. Why you have such a massive hateboner for it is honestly beyond me.

It's not a massive hate boner, I just think that an artist with his experience and exposure should know better than to add some of that work in a published book.
Not wanting to edit it was a mistake.
>>2734687
Exactly. I'm sure he could've made a really good and helpful book if he wanted to. No ones cares about the "authenticity" of it

Oh that book, it's recommended in Aguri's 1 year guide but surprisingly it isn't in the book thread or the mega collection.
