Some guy is going to sell me his cintiq companion hybrid for about $600, is it worth it? (keep in mind its the android tablet model, but can be plugged into a computer to be used like a 13hd)

Don't buy a Cintiq, idiot.
What are you thinking?

why not?

unless you really want a display tablet, a cintiq companion for $600 isn't worth it imo. you're better off getting one of those intuos that have larger working areas.

It's a meme. It won't increase your output if you're already familiar with an Intuos since you're still doing the same old things with the software; in fact because of the unfamiliar getup it might even slow you down for a while. It won't increase the quality of your work because it changes the medium and therefore the rules, just like switching from paper to digital did before, if you actually went through that. It puts a bigger load on your system, so you either have a fairly good PC or you're looking at slowdowns. It's also pretty bad as a PC screen in general because of the lower refresh rate.
If you go straight from paper to a Cintiq, congratulations on your rich parents and enjoy your interactive display. Otherwise, stick to pen tablets and don't pay a fortune on an overpriced touchscreen. You already have one, it's your pen tablet + PC screen.
t. an idiot that thought a Cintiq would help.
