>Can barely trace an ellipse from my arm with the pencil sticking straight up into the air
>Can do it just fine when I rest my hand on the paper and allow it to stabilize my hand
Is this an issue of co-ordination, or is it a matter of practice?
jesus fuck
arm drawing is ok for long lines with a real pencil, but i'm so fucking scared of sucking that I've never gotten decent at it at all with a tablet. and now that I manly only sketch in traditional ... :V
this is hard shit, woman

It's really not all that hard. Tablet from the arm is how I've trained myself.
It's actually easier with a pencil in spite of this though. I constantly screw up, but at least with digital I can keep going until I have something I'm satisfied with.

Practice

OP here,
I keep shirking off my arm practice to do studies.
I'm kind of scared I'll take a 5 hour day to do this and forget where I'm at in my anatomy.
