Who cares about shit artists like klimt and picasso who don't actually good? Klimt has early works that aren't just fucking about on a canvas, but that's obviously not his style. Same way for mucha though, not many think of this when they think mucha.

They're both incredibly famous. Klimt was also not a hack at all and was very skilled and original. Is Klimt even Art Nouveau btw? I don't usually consider him to be a part of that, probably he is Symbolist or something else.

Klimt is Secession (obviously since he was the president), which is a Austrian movement which shares similarities with Art Nouveau. Art Nouveau may mean either the specific movement in France or Belgium, or the general movement in Europe which designates various trends with strong similarities in different countries : Arts and Craft in England, Liberty Style in Italy, Secession in Austria...

Klimt isn't Nouveau per se, and I've never ever heard someone say he was their favourite artist after studying at three different art schools and teaching at one.
Mucha on the other hand is at least 33% of amateur artists' favourite artist and one of the most imitated artists in history, he's not undervalued at all.

I first heard of Mucha several months ago, when I visited Prague. Every souvenir shop had magnets with his paintings.
Also his stained glass in St Vitus cathedral is the tightest shit ever.

I went to a fantastic Art Exhibition in Rome this summer that had hundreds of his works, including sculptures. He's extraordinary. His Moon portrait was breathtaking, pic related. He would've made a great digital artist were he around today.
