What do you guys think of Hirohiko Araki?
>>2706890
Shitty tracer and MUH STYLE fag as the other mangoo artists.
>>2706894
shitty shitposter and MAH BAIT fag as the other anon posters
>>2706890
he seems like a chill person in private. I like his story telling. The quality of his artwork varies a lot tho
>>2706915
how little do you have to try to draw like this?
its beginner thread tier
>>2706949
why dont you try drawing and writing a monthly serialized manga huh
>>2706890
I liked his manly men, can't stand the shitty twinks.
>>2706966
look at this drawing you dumb cuck.
how can you not see its complete shit
if i had a month to draw 20 pages then yes i would do a better job
>>2706976
>he thinks it's just drawing
>>2706971
t. Homosexual
Better than 4% of /ic/
>>2706976
no you wouldn't. post your work. you'd be giving up and posting pepe frogs on the second day.
>>2706976
I've been making comics since january and it is harder than it appears
>>2707029
Link or gtfo.
>>2707061
I'm staying anon but it is working well. make 8k on kickstarter
>>2706890
he is beyond criticism
>>2706890
he draws Sexy men I like it
at first I didn't really like his style, then I stopped being a faggot
Am I going to make it, /ic/?
>>2706890
/ic/ hates Hirohiko Araki because he's better than any of them will ever be and spends his time actually doing something that matters instead of shitposting and looking down on pretty much every artists in existence.
>>2706890
The art isn't impressive but the direction is novel enough and he's got enough of that to cultivate his massive readership.
I love him but he's kind of shit.
>>2707314
You mean you became a faggot
>>2707205
Not that anon but post link pls, I'm too curious now
he's an absolute madman
>>2706949
You would crash and burn trying to even ink a finished page, i guarantee it.
>>2707759
I agree.
He's bad for a manga artist, but it's totally irrelevant.
The art doesn't make the story. It's the main reason Batman vs Superman blows fat-ass.
>>2706890
Very good artist that stagnated at an ugly artstyle.
I do think he's a good artist, though I believe that somewhere around Part 6-7, his art went from "Great" to "Okay", then on Part 8 it started to decline.
Its funny that by the time of these said parts, his storytelling skills got really great (Especially the SBR comics); to me, he's great for doing covers, but for overall comics he's had a downgrade.
I wish I had his work ethic.
Just slap this template on every character, including females, children and elderly and you nailed his """"""style""""""
>>2706890
I wish I could have 1/1000th of his creativity, would be set FOR LIFE.
His paneling/layouts were the best in part 3 imo, my favorite Araki art is in part 2, though I understand why he'd want to change things as he went along.
>>2706976
>hur hur
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X39Sv_EV-t4
he's fine but not THAT good
I preferred the style of part 3
His character designs are top notch though
>>2709893
I would really love to see what you consider THAT good
people just hate on araki because they cant gesture like him
>>2709930
His little doodles he puts in between chapters are so fun to look at.
>>2707759
*tip *tip
>>2707344
>yfw literally everything art and story ect peaked in part 4
>>2706976
You obviously never made a comic book in your life
Really wish his schedule wasn't so extreme so he could do some life drawing.
The biggest reason he regresses is his shit memory. If he brushed up every now and then...
>>2709922
not someone whose art revolve around being able to put out a huge number of drawings in a limited amount time
>>2710763
I don't think he "regressed", his work on Vogue, Spur and JoJo promotional material looks far better since he's given a less restraining time scheduele
>>2706915
>>2706976
I read somewhere that that one was on purpose
He has been drawing animals since JoJo part 1
>tfw everyone suddenly and collectively forgets about iggy, that dog that had his face bitten off and god knows how many others that araki has killed
>>2710698
>story

u cereal?
>>2712586
I should have used
"lapses". There are times where he draws things worse than what he used to, but also sometimes better. Didn't mean a singular, steady, regression.
The halfway-point of SBR was amazing. He was clearly starved for time and he got more. The positive effect is obvious.
His """""dogs""""" are one of the biggest indicators that he hasn't done any studies for them. And he should. He could use more studies of everything, just like everyone else. I believe he can be even better than he is now. If only he had some more MORE time.
>>2712706
Also, that horse and those feet make me want to die.
How to drawing in perspective?? MAKE BIG!
Take a good look at this hand.
>>2712711
you do realized that image was supposed to be folded right?
>>2707344
Late part 4 is definitely when he finally was able to break through and become a great manga artist. Before his art was very inconsistent.
>>2706890
Wanted to share these from a book I have just to show Araki's creative process.

In case anyone is wondering the book is called JoJo 6251
>>2712598
Well yeah, its a difference between "good" storytelling from legit good storytelling.
I like part 2, but by the time Part 4 comes up JoJo starts getting legit good in its storytelling (Although it would only get "legit good" by the time of Part 6 (excluding that horrid ending)).
Its like comparing Fist of the North Star to Fist of the Blue Sky; you can see that despite FOTS having this legacy, Blue Sky has a better developed story,
>>2712988
Okay, this is some good shit.
But I can't help but chuckle at that Josuke preliminary sketch.
>>2712831
No, what do you mean? Folded how?
>>2713498
>>2713628
That... doesn't change anything.
I completely doubt it was illustrated around being "folded". That's nonsense.
I'd like you to describe how being designed to be "folded" makes the giant foot acceptable.
>>2709892
to be real, anyone who looks at the bottom panels and thinks they arent good because they arent hyper-detailed is going to have a hard time trying to learn how to draw. they convey exactly enough information with well defined forms and gestures, and the tone of the drawing matches the tone of the situation, a party, lively and loose.
>>2713830
Yeah, I saw Robaato do something similar once.
I guess what made me chuckle was the goofy-ass smile on Josuke
