Where can you check application portfolios for people applying to art school (preferably industrial/entertainment design). The images on relevant threads on CA.org don't show up and google hasn't helped much either (there is a post on studentartguide showing a few examples but I'd like to see a few more). It'd be nice to see some that were accepted too.

Easy, just look at pros.
Yeah, I was interested in applications for school, not professional work, obviously that is much easier to find

Talk to your art teacher.

I found google to be pretty helpful. I would look at the commonalities between these and use them as your guide.

>tfw this is your competition before they've done art center
>tfw they haven't just gone pro yet
What the fuck

You've got to be kidding me. Some of these people don't even NEED to go to school -- just more time to refine their skills.

>life drawings nowhere near as good as their digital & concept work
how

It's easier to paint than it is to draw.

it's not just about skills, entering art school with these portfolios will get them a lot of good connections.

Well, painting basically is drawing. And it's harder to paint from imagination than it is to draw from life. At least that's how it is for me...
