>Insipiration
>>2694812
It's a portmanteau of 'insipid' and 'perspiration', since much of the art posted here is the failed result of sweaty effort.

Inspiration is for the lazy. Keep a sketchbook, flash out ideas using it. That is how you get creative ideas.
>>2695572
We're just sharing some artwork here anon.
>>2695585
Damn, forgot the image of course.
>>2695572
>Unlike you plebs I lock myself in an empty padded cell for years at a time to draw, that's how disciplined I am ;^)
Let me guess, you heard that classic statement "Waiting for inspiration is a crutch, discipline is what you need to push through" and then, like a complete retard, you took it to mean inspiration is a bad thing.
No, you fucking idiot, the point of that statement is "If you're uninspired don't wait for inspiration, draw anyway." It had nothing to do with intentionally AVOIDING inspiration.

>>2697645
Upload it. I want all of those references.
>>2697645
You back it up. I have probably around the same number of files, and I would feel pretty sad if a harddrive crash lost them all.
>>2697646
Where's the best site? I'm literally adding to these folders every day though. How do I keep the uploads updated?
>>2697648
Mega probably? Or mediafire.
>>2697647
Good call.
>>2697650
My art folder (which includes all my files, refs, inspiration) is 93 GB.
>>2697651
Oh damn, then that's around twice the size of my collection. Though if you count videos in there then it's different as my stuff is just jpgs.
>>2697659
videos only 15MB, mostly .gif and .webm. But I have a shitload of references and my own stuff, like I'll be working on a 6500px painting and keep saving new versions because of paranoia.
also I compulsively save stuff I like.
>>2697663
Oh if we're counting our own paintings then I have an extra 125 gigs, and actually I deleted a bunch of old psds not long ago to clear space. Wew, I can still one-up a random anon.
>>2697665
Dam son
If it's just favorites, not refs or my own stuff, I have 42 GB.
Refs is 2GB. Rest is my shit I guess.

Is this a french/european artist ? God this gives so much mediterranean vibes its so comfy. Beautiful painting.
>>2713185
The painting is by Edward Okuń, a Polish Art Nouveau painter.
Painted location is in Dubrovnik, Croatia. It's on the Adriatic Sea, so mediterranean is right. I believe this is where GoT was filmed too.

?? This is the first time I have heard criticism on his watercolours. How many have you seen? He seemed to experiment with the medium quite a lot so there is a lot of variance in technique between them.
>>2727480
I seen quite a lot but I'm not a fan of those strokes that he does like the reds in the dress and you could see it quite clearly in a lot of his landscapes as well.
>>2707881
this guy and Frazetta girls are some of the best.
Zorn's etchings are fucking insane.
I wonder if he did preliminary drawings for them or if he just kjg'd it.
>>2727653
Basically through hatching the only constraint on your value scale is the white of the paper and the black of your ink (or any other medium you are using).
It's pretty much the equivalent to using broken color when painting. It lets your brain does the mixing.
