What are some things in drawing you regret doing, /ic/? Besides getting into drawing.

OP did you put your answer as the title? Lmfao.
For me, it was being reluctant to do studies because I didn't really understand HOW to study drawing and ended up not improving until recently. For me, I went to art school and it's jump started my drive. I also like the feedback I can get on anything I draw, and I have figured out what it means to draw from life (because I finally had a teacher that explained what we would actually learn through various studies, such as the purpose of blind contour (which I hadn't really understood until I went back to school).
I regret that i needed school to teach me what others grasp easily but i iwish i had gone sooner instead of settling for a community college out of high school (My family always thought I was naive and wouldn't let me move out of state or even four hours to NYC to go to an art school. Would've saved me a rape if they had but whatever)
I also regret letting my crazy ex get between me and my dreams. I think a lot of artists give up when they start thinking seriously about the future when they have a partner, and thus they end up settling for a job that guarantees livable pay instead of the uncertainty of art (since if you're the most skilled artists out there if you can't market yourself you might not make shit).

How exactly DO you study?
Years of terrible deviant art tier cartoon porn/hentai. I only came to my senses this year and started learning fundamentals and doing anatomy studies.

I'm also interested
I regret buying many useless "How to Draw Manga" books when I was younger.

>not using DA tutorials
It's alright, I used the library for those, anon.
Starting with drawing heads rather than developing a fundamental base with form and perspective

I regret staying at the symbol-drawing stage for all my childhood because of bad influence from those around me, but then I discovered the internet and so things are progressing slowly
I regret being a pompous fuckwit just because I could draw
