Hello /ic/, i need advice on what to
do with some paintings that a friend
of my father gave him. All I know is that the artist is called Tanaka, and is a japanese calligraphy teacher. There is at least 50 paintings and framed calligraphies. I don't have pictures for everyone of them though
Signature on the back of the paintings
Well if you make art yourself, re-use them by stripping the canvas off the frame and putting a fresh one on.
Should i cover the paintings with something ? They are just sitting there in the attic gathering dust

I don't make art and I think they are worth something so i won't do anything to them that can hurt them

I just found the artist's wikipedia page :
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shingai_Tanaka
You're sure they are worthless ? I don't know anything about art but after reading the wiki page... Maybe the calligraphies are worth something

>calligrapher
>no mention of him ever doing paintings
There's more than one S. Tanaka in the world, man.

Not sure, seems like it'd be a waste to just get rid of it though
