keeping your dirty laundry in a basket and putting away any clean clothes is like, literally one of the easiest things to do when it comes to making any effort to keep a room tidy. You can fold clothes and watch tv at the same time, or listen to music. Doesn't take all that long either.

I'm a pretty cluttered person myself, but I find it a relief if I work to give myself some space to maneuver.

To add: if part of the reason your clothes are all over the floor is your closet/drawers you put them in too full and cluttered to deal with, take an hour or two to sort through your clothes. What do you actually wear? What haven't you worn in years? What do you really need? What's really worn out and time to retire? Giving away/throwing out unwanted/unneeded can free up a lot of space in your room and make way for clothes you actually want to keep.

I hung onto a lot of clothes for a long while, until recently when I had to move to a temporary location for a few months of work and only took a selection of the clothes I owned with me. When I came back home, I realized around 50% of the clothes I left at home I rarely wear anyway and if they were out of my life, I wouldn't even notice they were gone. So I just gave them away and the cleanliness of my room is better for it.

Posted in the last thread, but here's my space tucked away in the corner of a cozy 1BR apartment I split with my GF.

There's some minor distortion from the panorama, but this is the gist of it. One thing I notice is that loads of people like to have their desk facing a wall. Any particular reason why? I always felt it's way less claustrophobic to face out into an open area, especially for pretty minimal digital setups (tablet, computer, monitor) that don't need a lot of space.

My current setup, it took awhile to upgrade to this.

My computer is not the msi laptop shown in the pic, I have a powerful desktop built this summer below my desk. The giant tv is for watching movies/youtube while I work and have references up at the same time.

It's dusty I know, I didn't clean bfore taking the pic.
The tablet is an Intous 4 Large. v old, like 6 years, works perfectly though. Been thinking about a cintiq, but I use on at work and I don't like it as much desu.

If you want to draw directly on the monitor, they can be. For me it works perfectly, because I have a dual monitor setup and always look at the drawing on one of the monitors, so I get back to drawing much easier than with one monitor. It's hard to forget you wanted to work on something even if you are on /ic/ if it stares you into the face all time.

But depending on what you buy they don't have perfect accuracy when it comes to the pen position. Which means you will get wobbly lines and slightly displaced pen pointers. And close to the lower edge in the middle (where the status bar is in most programs,) the pen pointer seems to be jumpy.

At least the "cheaper" 18"-22" monitors are like that.

No clue about surface convertibles with pen support or cintiq, but both are much more expensive, so it may not be an alternative.

Don't know about 13" tablet monitors either, but I am with the other anon who said they are too small.

For me the slightly off pen pointer and sometimes inaccurate lines is ok, but I draw to explore, train and learn and will do so for the coming years, so drawing to specification doesn't matter and I can just adapt to this quirk with style decisions and not giving a shit. And by the time I care about perfect accuracy the market for digital art hardware will look completely different again or I may have found out that there was no problem all along.

The only major advantage something like a cintiq has over a regular tablet is its miles better for doing line art. Part of that is that some tablets don't perfectly match the aspect ratio of your monitor so say, left to right movements are slightly different than up and down movements, but I wouldn't be surprised if wacom has tackled this issue already (I've had a cintiq for years) but apart from it being better for drawing a screen tablet isn't necessary.

After getting a screen tablet, I can't go back to a normal tablet, screen ones are better than the standard ones in almost every way, and i'm not even using the cintiq, which is considered the best one, I got ugee, but it still gets the job done super well

Well i have a job at the moment as an animator for a company that make online courses, its a bit grinding and can get boring because its not the most fun work to do, but it pays, and when i get home i tend to draw fantasy and fan art, sadly i haven't done my own animation project in years because i just don't have the love for it as much now, but normally i just do things like life studies to keep my skills up.
