60 sec really aren't that much different for me, I just observe for a longer time causing them to have better proportions and always be completed (as some of my 30 sec gestures aren't completed). But desu they are sometimes worse.

Your lines feel disconnected when they should be part of the whole pose. But I think you get the idea. IMO 30 seconds is way too short to do anything wortwhile.

Not bad. The composition doesn't help because of the lack of negative space between your figures but I assume you don't want to use too much paper. The curves are good. Severed heads are a problem since it is an important part of the gesture, and important for any drawing in general. Overall it looks good to me.

instead of using two generic elipses for the torso how about using two useful elipses for the angle of the thorax and pelvis? the only real problem with these is they dont flow very well imo.

Ryan Woodward is an amazing draftsman. His works display a high knowledge of gesture and volume of the human figure.

TL;DR. It's not wrong to reference his work to study about gesture.
