What do you, /ic/ user, think of plague of gripes?

I don't think of him.

Ameteur, to the point where I don't understand why he doesn't just do porn or plain out animation if he doesn't wish to increase his talent. Like he has potential to grow but everything just ends out coming the same.
It's almost as bad as Shadman.

Funny guy, his stuffs pretty nice
i've heard him speak a bit, and seems like a decent dude. don't really like his art much at all, though. no taste.
>>2675436
He isn't spectacular, or even someone I would even refer to as skilled.
Though I would say that he has a niche for the uncanny and that I've taken a liking to his animations. They have a certain kind of charm to them, he strikes me as the type of person that I would have good banter with.
>>2675436
I like his dark souls playthru, he's overanalytical of everything, and looks into every 'why'
not much interest in his art, but looks like the guy i would love to have as an art friend
I like to listen to him talk, though i'm not the biggest fan of his art. Still better than me, probably a good 40-60% of the people here. Though I don't think he's ever un-ironically called himself an artist or an animator. I think he just draws/paints because he can, Though I believe his heart is actually in writing. 8/10 I'd have a beer with him.

>imply he hasn't done porn

Not even skilled
Sure, buddy.
Total noob.
>>2675436
Wish he had a separate tag for his fucking drawings.
He taught me a lot of things honestly
To go over as many times as I need over a particular cg
How to use references correctly
Proportions and on model video was really helpful
Honestly I learned more from plague then I did from Loomis/Hampton

he's better than 99.9% of /ic/

Plagueofgripes is fantastic when it comes to using references and actually doing his research for pieces. The fact that he actually goes over his rough sketches multiple times is a big boon too as it shows that he is willing to scrap something in its entirety in pursuit of something better. That constant revision and desire for improvement is an amazing trait for an artist.
However the parts where I think he could use improving are his tendency to fall back on the same poses for a lot of his work (ex. the hands on hips pose), and possibly a foray into different styles. I'd love to see him tackle an actual painting some time, or do some portrait work.
Overall Plague is really good, but he's not in that top tier of artists, nor do i think he proffesses to be. He just wants to draw dumb shit with big asses, and really who can fault him for that?

Are you sure that's his? I've never seen him do anything NSFW.

he used to drawfag furry stuff for /co/ years ago
he is the guy previously known as 1800
doesn´t that ring a bell?
here
https://e621.net/post/index/1/34from1800
he stopped doing full blown explicit stuff, but he mantained his style, characters and fandoms, so it´s very easy to recognize him.
>>2677113
he sure got better at drawing furry stuff.
you can see a pretty legit progress.
he followed his dreams.
