What is your objective tho?
From What I'm seeing you are just changing the colors
>>
>>2667757
that's the thing, i'm not. the jojo one, i did more stuff to it, but then downscaled back to 480p.

but, the dbz one, there's a lot more lol doesn't my version almost make it look "digital" compared to the original? I did more than just mess with colours.

But nevertheless, colours are one of the most important things imo to change/improve the look
>>
>>2667757
nvm, I saw the 1080p version. Basically you reduced the noice, but that's it.
You can do that online, it doesn't really take that much effort. If you really want to remaster, try getting into vector stuff.
>>
>>2667753
>>2667756
Why would you want the colors to be washed out instead of vibrant? And you fucked up the values/contrast.

It's like you did the video equivalent of opening up an image, making new white fill layer, setting it to 20% opacity and calling it retouching.

lol mate vector stuff? this remastering business isn't for pictures. i'm doing it for videos. i'll do a full video version of the DBZ thing another time.

but yeah, i did reduce the noise. but go ahead and bring this picture back to me with your online noise reducer and show me what it looks like:
>>
>>2667763
see, this is the day of your life where you begin to understand the incompetence of your perception.

if i was to add a new white fill layer and set it to 20% opacity....would his black outfit have increased in contrast like it has there?
>>
>>2667767
I didn't say that's what you did, I compared calling that "retouching" with calling what you did "remastering".

I also notice you didn't answer the actual question.
Your "remastering" is shit, you can go now.
>>
>>2667765
k
Still, what software did you use to make it look like that?
I'm asking this since you said that it was for a video and I'm guessing that you are using video editing software rather than image edition.

and your question about it being "washed out"? mate, let's say it was swapped around and i showed you the "washed out" version as original and i did some shit like increase contrast and saturation and said "that's my remaster". you probably would have said "why are you fucking up the values/contrast?"

trust me, what i done was not something most people can figure out.

Because it's retarded, arbitrary, amateurish shit that you can't provide the reasoning for?

I won't be impressed till I see a video. I actually much prefer the guy who's making Super look like classic DBZ. I don't have the image on here, but that was pretty boss.
>>
