I've heard around 10-15k a year, if so why not in house?

Because I came from a well off family and don't have all my eggs in one basket. House, land, farm ect. Thank Loomy too, all the artists I know that work solely freelance and inhouse are mostly depressed. I help out on the farm maybe twice a year at most for a week or so, work some light freelance a portion of the year with some sporadic commission, and work on projects the rest of the time.

How does it feel to have the Devil's luck, anon?

It's alright. I don't really buy things I don't really need or live extravagantly, but I wouldn't be an artist if I cared for things like that. I get to chill, git gud, make the art I want to make and even travel 1-2 times a year which is more than enough.
