I feel like this piece is at least straying towards a new idea, but I think it's also taken a step back in terms of color composition. The bright primaries quite literally push the balance over the tipping point. That aspect of it doesn't seem quite as thought out as the other piece.

These are really cool experiments nonetheless.

Honest feedback OP,

Your abstract art is terrible, but your figurative art could be super fun. As it is now it looks terribly outdated and unoriginal as hell, like the work of a nerd teenager trying to get into art school. However, if you used modern themes and designs, to make it current and original, it could be pretty cool.

I gotta be honest OP your work just kinda feels empty. There's really no craftsmanship on your sculpts and painting, strokes are wobbly and the sculpts give off an impression that you were struggling immensely with the material. They all just look unfinished to me.

I realize that I may have been too harsh initially. Perhaps you reminded me of another narcissist on this board. Or maybe even the slightest bit of confidence when presenting art that unfathomably bad is enough to send even Buddha into a rage. But now I don't feel so bad anymore. You've confirmed my suspicions.

Maybe you had a bad critique at wherever it is they keep you. Maybe you just wanted to go online to get a pat on the back. Sorry buddy, this isn't the place to get that. You just walked into the fucking lion's den. And if you are so skilled as you say to be, you should be able to take this criticism in stride. Because you don't need Anonymous's hugs and kisses right? I'll bite. Your work looks like it was ripped out of a Art history textbook. Those Picasso-Essie works lack an understanding of Cubism and the deconstruction of space. You've mimiced the style, removed the content and have come late to the show by 90 years. Your abstracts belong in 1960 with the other Abstract Expressionist works.

So step one is throw out the history books and hit the galleries. Figure out what is contemporary and appeals to you. Work around the styles presented there but stop fucking copying. You are not Picasso!

Next is subject matter, what the fuck are you trying to say with your art? You're a good painter, but shitty artist (this actually lumps you in with most of ic).

Be new, not a copy. Keep working man
