You can't really write a short story about playing a guitar. There would be no narrative. You should make the guitar some kind of antique or hand-me-down; that would open the window to an actual story.

A story, not a poem? Write it about the relationship a musician has with the guitar, maybe the guitar comforts him when he's feelin' down, maybe his thoughts kinda drift away when playing and maybe he dreams that the guitar turns into a beautiful woman.
