Hello /ic/,
I'm trying to find a spray varnish that will work on custom cards. I'm working on a project that will require me to digitally design a card (like a poker style card) and then print them on card stock. (I have access to a Xerox machine made for printing on a heavier card stock).
The paper I'm printing on is a 170 coated stock (similar to what you would see a baseball card printed on)
Heres my question, I want to be able to shuffle the cards I print multiple times to be used in multiple games over the course of years. Do I need to put a spray varnish on it? If so, what kind? And second, Is it even necessary to take that extra step?
Thanks /ic/
It wouldn't be a bad idea to look at least look for a waterproof sealant of some sort if they're going to be actively used by your client. Spray type would be super ideal if you can find it, otherwise prepare to spend a lot of time brushing on that type of sealant on your cards. desu that type's not that bad, but I'd imagine it would be a pain in the ass, especially if it's a full deck.
