The 2 big mushrooms being in a mirrored position and at the same height is what's making it look forced, bland and artificial primarily
I would accentuate those properties to make them look more different

both are horrid but if id have to pick one, bottom

bottom, move the right mushroom group over, change their height so those top two big ones aren't at the same level, and then experiment about where to add some kind of focal point or points

Both suffer from the same crippling composition issues. I would recommend addressing those core problems first.
1 - Bad tangents between mushrooms themselves and tree. It looks bad and repetitive. No lines intersect or create interesting shapes.
2 - The brightest, most saturated area is totally empty. My attention is drawn there but there's nothing to see? Will you add figures there?
3 - As is mentioned, the position of the mushrooms is almost perfectly mirrored, making it static and boring.
4 - The mountains have the same value as the mushrooms and almost completely follow the same shape, causing the mushrooms to blend with them. They just fade into the background.
5 - The trees do not only create a bad tangent with the mushrooms, but they create a sombre, claustrophobic frame around the mushrooms. There is no feeling of openness and space. This might be a result you want, but it doesn't make it nice to look at, nor is it supported by the feeling of the rest of the scene (peaceful and summer-like).

Where did you learn composition? The Loomis book?
