Draw thread, last one dead.
Post your current drawings here for critique. Beginners doing studies do not belong in this thread, neither do questions. Those both have dedicated threads.
Portrait from life, charcoal and white ctayon on toned paper. 3 hours.
I feel like im making a lot of little mistakes that add up to an ultimately bad drawing. Can anyone help me spot some of the more glaring ones?
>>2616594
why does this look like its been through a shitty filter?
>>2616597
>>2616598
i guess my real question is wtf did you?
>>2616599
Looked fine in my phone.
Any better?, used a filter to remove the dirty of my sketching
>>2616587
Well the most obvious mistake is that your proportions are fucked. Learn loomis head with thirds and then Reilly's abstraction.
Also, you don't know your anatomy, your lighting lacks definition (learn planes, see pic related) and if it's from life, you probably didn't use any measuring at all.
Overall it's not bad, just pointing out mistakes.
One of my first sketches of a girl's face. Nothing too complex, just simple pencil to sketchpad really.
Just wanted an honest opinion of whether it is any good or not.
>>2616615
Lines are too tick for a realistic drawing, rendering needs more work. Also, what techniques did you use to copy it?
>>2616614
thanks man. I guess just need to bolster my knowledge and visual vocabulary. drawing what you see doesn't turn out well if your eyes are uneducated. I'll focus on consistency as well. thanks for the crit!
>>2616615
I would decide if you want to do a line drawing or a realistic rendering before you start.
>>2616618
Sorry what do you mean by techniques of copying it?
>>2616621
Yeah, what book or curse did you took to learn to draw from still life?
>>2616622
I didn't. I just did it.
>>2616624
>>2616625
doing it by yourself the first time it's not bad, it can be good for comparison later after you went thru some training, and it also points out the mistakes you have to tackle
not the same anon btw
>>2616625
You could say I'm self taught.
Here's another one I did.
>>2616634
you are teaching at a third grade level bro. hit up the book thread.
>>2616587

I've been experimenting with digital painting and drawing in general lately. Be honest with me, is this good?
>>2625136
And yes, sorry I forgot to erase some of the paint that went outside it, I'm an idiot.
>>2625077
>posts art on thread meant for criticism
>gets fucking triggered when art gets criticized
>>2625147
Shitpost =/= criticism. Point out what is wrong.
