i think i just discovered something, a new technique perhaps? Consider this: disassociation.
I was drawing on my huion tablet; a respectable machine - although it has its quirks. mainly, there is no screen on it.
you must look at your screen rather than down at the drawing surface.
for kicks.... after having been used to this posture for many months. (and being currently without my drawing tablet) i decided....
to draw in a similar manner: i call it the "digital inspired traditional posture"
In other words, i look at the source and draw the page without awareness for what im actually doing on the page. i do not look at the lines im making.
does it work? exceedingly so. is it fast? there is no doubt. -_-
think about it - anything worth doing is worth doing blind. Can you imagine how inefficient a typist would be if he were bound by his vision being locked to his keyboard.
Your hands are more than cabable of seeing for you.

Is this a new dank maymay I don't know about?

I already do this, and I'm sure a lot of other people do to. Why would you look down at your hands while drawing on a tablet with no screen anyway? You can't see the lines there.

youre missing the point, im saying you can do a similar thing with paper -_-

I outlined these figures "blind" and then shaded them like normal.

that's terrifying, yet pretty interesting to look at.

its called blind contour drawing
it helps your hand eye coordination become better but solely as a means of drawing it would be inefficient
unless you dedicate most of your time drawing this way then there's going to be quite a bit more mistakes then if you just looked down at the page here and there
also nice meme

Ya this is like already a thing
this is like the first exercise you do in a drawing 101 course
>>2613930
Like other anons have said, we already do that in Art 101. It's blind contour drawing. It's like one of the first things you learn.

thats not a thing. youre trying to start a thing, arent you?
it's called b l i n d c o n t o u r d r a w i n g. it's the i n d u s t r y s t a n d a r d
Check out this new meme called dissadsociadion. Its ehere uou type without looking at the keyboard. Im typing using the digital inspieed traditionql posture.

I remember my art teacher in primary school would make us do this. The results were understandably pretty shit, it's an interesting little exercise but I can't see a compelling reason to hone this skill.
So you haven't created anything new but what you have done is give an already existing exercise a new and pretentious name, that is quite impressive I mean it takes some degree of skill to come up with a name like that, for some people it takes years of head-up-your-arse training but you seem to do it so effortlessly. Well done, this is your legacy:
>digital inspired traditional posture
