What shows/comics/works have an art-style that is not too "animu" nor too "cartoony"?
I mean one that has found the perfect balance between both styles.

damn, never knew Bengus designed power stone too.
>>2612117
He was (and still is) the private james ramirez of Capcom.

I think Little Witch Academia does it well.
If you want something more "cartoony", I'd say Kaiba or Metropolis.
But then again, what do you mean by "anime" style?
>>2612365
probably modern moeshit
>>2612109
Gashi gashi is by far my favorite artist in that hybrid.
He is a japanese westernboo
Some of the old Hand animated Disney movies
>>2612365
Oh yeah i forgot about that. Studio trigger's original shows always tend to have western/cartoony character designs.
>>2612365
Yoh Yoshinari is great

>>2612376
Yeah, Yoshinari, Imaishi, and everyone else at Trigger are madmen.
OP said 'not too animu', guys

Here
>>2612421
That is highly subjective, and what's been posted is very far from the most "animu" style in my opinion. Try PSG is you want it even more Western-looking.
bump

Well you aren't going to find anything appealing by looking at America shows.
Maybe something French would fit the bill better.
>not the actual anatomy + anime hybrid
You had one job. I bet you are a career artist too, ROFL
It seems kinda obvious to me, but doesn't anything Miyazaki kinda fit the bill?

Awful pedo garbage
>>2612109
I don't get it, they're all cartoons.
>>2616003
Yeah that too. The same goes for most of the old animes (around 60's maybe)
>>2616143
Capcom games always have that "western" touch/influence in their art (and other fields as well) that's why it was always my favorite company.
>>2612109
Have you seen any of Naoki Urusawa's work?
Recommending Pluto
>>2617275
Oh yes i forgot about this too. I started with 20th century boys. A good example.

Eastern/western art hybrids is what OP means.
He doesn't know that anime literally means cartoon.
