As much as I like the little characters and enjoy them immensely when they're drawn well as such, this thread and any like it have to be about 'you'. It's your time and your work, by all means make the character look however you'd like them to look, do whatever you want them to do etc.
That said, if you're going to be changing a whole lot you might just want to make a new picture altogether. I don't know man. You've gone this far with the current aesthetic-it's really up to you.

I ran out of characters and then I forgot about it. It's honestly very appealing and pretty well done, but it looks like it was cropped and pasted onto a different background or something and those sharp edges of contrast are kind of jarring. Also the torso could use some suggestion with regards to anatomy; her torso kind of looks like a featureless hotdog. Just a subtle impression of a small portion of the ribcage or really anything like that would do. I think the silhouette is mostly correct but without even any implied anatomy there's sort of a flattening effect. I do dig the piece as-is though, don't get me wrong.

I feel like the featureless noodle arms and legs kind of clash with the, perhaps excessively, articulated anatomy of the torso. Consider her general shape; she's quite boxy, with her shoulders and hips being pretty much equal in width which is a mannish trait. The line weight is too thick and uniform my man; I think it's holding back your ability to add details. There's also the matter of chicken scratch-definitely work on your manual dexterity (Youtube: Dynamic Sketching). Proportions could use a little adjusting, too. Her torso and shoulders are bit too broad relative to the size of her head and stage right leg looks a bit long (if you were to stand it on its foot next to the reclining model it would stand almost over her head!)

Consider the parts of the arm: Deltoid (shoulder), Humerus (the solid bone connected to the deltoid) and then the radius and ulna (the two bones that form the forearm, elbow and wrist.
The humerus, radius and ulna meet at a point just below the base of the (visible) ribcage; the tenth rib. Right around the belly button. With that in mind, it'd probably be best to bring those pieces of her arm that aren't covered in stone just a bit lower.
I should try to refine it further and try some anime styled cell shading, although I afraid it might not work so well without clean line work..

I love the use of colors in this one, the gray-green for shading looks great.
Drawing-wise the shield looks more like it's just floating in front of the arm and obstructing it from view than actually being clasped by it. It could just be me, but as a neutral observer I'm having a hard time visualizing the construct of the arm from behind the shield. Also, keep in mind the elbow will usually rest right around where the bellybutton does. As it's drawn the elbow appears to bottom out above the gooch, just above where the wrists might otherwise be, normally, making it so that her arms would extend down to her knees if they were left in a relaxed position.

One thing you really want to do when drawing even cartoon-style characters is to not only consider those 3D forms (the breasts do not appear to interact with the arm crossing under them), but also anatomy and proportional relationships (Both arms are just a bit long. With the stage-left arm traversing well past the base of the pelvis and how the stage right arm would be in a similar position were it to be brought to a relaxed position as well). When doing a pose you don't completely understand, try looking at yourself in the mirror and noting any phenomena regarding the placement of your anatomical features. Just remember the old master's axiom: Wrists = Gooch.
Also don't forget other important peripheral artistic principals as well. There are many line tangents in this piece. The clavicle and thumb, the stage-right breast and that outside contour, the cleavage and the forearm etc. Watch out for that kind of thing, make sure any lines you have on close proximity cleanly and clearly overlap each other.

That's a good disease to have. the rendering is almost hauntingly beautiful, but the underlying drawing could use some work.
