Seriously, the difference between the good pin-up artists and the bad pin up artists is that the good actually hanged out with sexy women and had experience with what they actually looked and acted like.
Petty, Vargas, Elvgren, Sorayama, DeBerardinis, all could paint women who would make your heart skip a beat because they all had access to real women who would make your heart skip a beat, and would study them for their art.
