What do you guys think of the current trend of abstract acryllic/oil splattered on paper and then inverted and edited in photoshop. Artists like Michael Cina and Jack Vanzet, this stuff is everywhere from shitty EDM singles to instagram pages spewing 15 pics a day. It has been around for a while in Ghostly work and is kind of reaching its limit in what can be done.

I think it's derivative from the TedX philosophy of "anyone can be a creator. Be unique. Express yourself". It's art without thought, which is how I would define kitsch.
