I know people must be requesting stuff all the time but can someone scan Architectural Illustration Inside and Out by Albert Lorenz?.
I didn't found any pdf online and there is literally 0 digital versions of the fucking thing, you can't get the book in a legitimate way other than buying a physical used copy, and is one of the few that teach you how to traditional render textures from imagination (hell, I haven't been able to find another book on this subject matter. All the others are rendering from a reference or digital).

People are selling it for less than 4 dolaroos in amazon but I don't live in the usa :(

For comic books mastering perspective is important, there is something you can learn from cinematography or animation, lots of comics can be thought as key frames in animation.

Here, get this book about perspective and try mastering perspective. If you do so, you could make scenes in whatever lens you want, close-ups, details, whatever, it's all good:

Vanishing Point

Also I strongly recommend you getting works of Chris Ware (are on torrents). Other than being superb in every aspect, he really has very original layout of his panels and experiments with those, they really make a comic.

It's really awesome for beginners. But if you've read Hampton or have done a good amount of life drawing, there are only a few pages worth it in there.
I wish it went more in depth with its concepts, but "muh beginner artist" meme prevents it from being an outstanding book.

The first one you linked, ソフィーのアトリエ ~不思議な本の錬金術士~ アートワークス, doesn't have very good reviews. Sounds like the content is mediocre.

The other book is entirely about drawing faces, for which the reviewers says that it is quite helpful. They do note that the book is more intended for beginner/intermediate level. So if you have trouble with faces, I'd definitely say this is the one to choose. I might get it myself.

Then would you happen to have his first name? The anon who told me to look for the books couldn't recall, and googling Hampton, before I came into this thread, only brought up things having to do with the hotel chain, the place in Long Island, or some stamp production company.

micheal hampton. But googling "hampton art" or "hampton drawing" would get you there. Figure Drawing and Design is pretty good imho

any books (or sites) with random objects ref pictures? like from chair to guns and fish, and not drawn by some artist, but just irl pics. And pics not with just one object, but crowded, kjg style

I am drawing at work and doing the same room, desk, monitor, keyboard, printer all the time get's boring

>>
>>2583366

>>
>>2583365
>Just google random objects mate
I don't want to draw random objects, I want to draw random objects in perspective with other objects

searching for a random object just bring pictures with the said object, dead center, with nothing else in the composition

even googling ''crowded street'' or something like that brings up bad photoshoped stock pictures with bad perspective

I just want to train perspective and relative proportions man between objects at different distances
>>
>>2583380
Your last two lines are describing plein air friend. I know you said you're drawing at work but your best course of action is to go somewhere in the real world and draw.

You can't trust the camera for perspective, there are to many ways it can be manipulated and fuck with you.

Go outside and draw. Or start setting up still lifes in your home.
>>
>>2583385
>ask for something
>just do this other thing instead
don't bother responding if you are not planning to help, ty.

it is at work when I have the time and access to a pc
>>
>>2583389
>asking for a personally curated library of reference that they find fit their needs

That's your problem. Build it yourself.

>not your personal army

Also, I got no idea how you plan to make it if you think drawing requires access to a pc. You'll get fired for drawing at work eventually anyway.
>>
>>2583397
> Build it yourself.
requires time, I do so, but having outside help would be nice too
> I got no idea how you plan to make it if you think drawing requires access to a pc
forgot to reread the phrase after I deleted a part
it is at work when I have the time, and since I got access to a pc*

don't get me wrong, I like to do plein air, but I got free time at work and so I am trying to replicate it there

or whatever, why do you care what reason I want them for? I shouldn't have mention it in the first place

do you have a collection of pictures with plenty of objects in it, at different distances from the view point, and in different perspectives? y/n
>>
>>2583401
I don't anon. I do exactly what I suggested to you when I am trying to do perspective work. I make little still lifes at home and draw outside. Or I try to do perspective stuff based on the theories espoused in many of the books on the subject without ref.

Good luck finding whatchu want
>>
>>2583335
A scanned version will be much better. It will be easier to edit a scanned version to make the text more legible if there occur any aberrations
>>
>>2583380
How can others know from what perspective you want to draw? Anyway,
such a collection is very difficult to find as you donot know exactly "what" to search for. Messing up your house furniture would provide a good reference. Also when doing an internet search, attatching keywords such as "HD'', "16K", "8K", "HQ" etc will yield better results. Still, imo that can never match plein air experience because the perspective is under your control here.

Thank you for digitizing a newly released and inexpensive artists' book that hasn't even had the chance to be on the market for much more than a month on behalf of the vultures that were probably calling you a worthless faggot two threads back. If only we were all that desperate for (you)s. What did Steve ever do to you, fambalaya?

There are plenty of books by dead people that by all right should be free-hell, even a book released some years ago and probably isn't doing much if anything for its original author at this point isn't a huge deal (most people likely buy used at that point, and that doesn't do squat for the artist themselves anyway). However Releasing a book some guy just had printed a month ago into the wild is a dick move.

>>2592004
What a load of shit. You could afford this book by saving .50 cents a day for a little over a month. If you really can't see yourself being able to do something like that than you have some serious problems I agree, but you're in all likelihood some fat kid with a $3000 computer who chain smokes and chugs $3 energy drinks.

Many people on this board want their artwork to have some kind of tangible value, but they won't afford the same courtesy to other artists. Fuck all y'all niggas.

>in b4 a bunch of edgy gloating posts i.e. "I make $70,000 a month and I don't buy shit lmoa"

Good, let it all out, show your true face and hopefully more people will have the sense not to cuck themselves, cheapening and flooding an industry with poorfag degenerates in exchange for (you)s..but frankly I doubt it.

My sympathies to the less fortunate, but stealing from one established artist to potentially give another artist the tools they'll need to be your H1-B replacement seems like muddled thinking.

I swear to god cuckanon. Then use those acquired funds to buy anyone that was blue balled in this thread a copy of that stupid fucking book.

Nice excuse, retard. Name all of them. And why they should be free?
>>
>>2591841
It was already digitized, also it wasn't inexpensive for me even the only available ebook for me costed 36$, and to get that I had to cheat the system the site used.
Getting a paperback would have costed over 50€

Steve Huston is not in the fault but he is a casualty of a service problem. It was only a matter of time it gets pirated and shared.

>>2592150
You don't seem to grasp how pirates work. There are couple types

>Always a pirate no matter what
Guys who pirate anything, always. Don't give a shit about support etc. they just want stuff for free. Nothing you can do about this people. Probably the ones you mostly think about

>Possible customers
People like >>2591625 , >>2592017 , >>2592280 People who don't want to buy a pig in a bag or are currently tight on money, but still will possibly buy your product after pirating it if they like it. Just to own it or to support the makers of the product.

>Service problem
People like me. I had to go trough 7 different sites. 2 of which accepted a payment method which I had. 1 That worked. And even that required you to be a resident of Australia to buy a fucking ebook. The only reason I got it was because I had the idea of using the company's own address to buy the book. Or the product is cheap elsewhere in comparison but insanely high at your country for bullshit reasons. Like photoshop in Australia.

>Name all of them

I'll name as many as I can off the top of my head.

Andrew Loomis, Burne Hogarth, Victor Perard, Ernest Norling, Walt Stanchfield, Charles Bargue, George Bridgman, Jack Hamm, Stephen Rogers Peck, Harold Whitaker, Robert Beverly Hale, J.D. Harding, Ken Hultgren, Preston Blair, Wilhelm Ellenberger, Gottfried Bammes

>And why they should be free?

Gee, I don't know.

If you don't understand why pirating a book by someone who isn't alive anymore or perhaps even one by a living artist that's been on the market for a decade or whatever is decidedly different from pirating a book that was published a month ago than ur gay.

>>2592807
>Nothing you can do about this people.

One thing you can do is not go out of your way as an individual to enable them. It's not much, but it's not "nothing" either, and the more people that do that the more significant and powerful that simple act of keeping things to yourself becomes.

>there are couple types

Not all piracy is equal I agree, but we also know that the "conscientious pirates" are in all likelihood the great exception rather than the rule.

If you really feel sorry for people being poor (among those whom actually are) give money to a humanitarian fund or something, don't be the one to do all that work you did to give away someone else's shit and play a (albeit small) part in cheapening a craft for a few fleeting accolades. I know a lot of people like you don't necessarily have bad intentions but in the grand scheme of things it's better to let thirsty niggas thirst.
>>
>>2593042
If you really feel sorry for people being poor (among those whom actually are) give money to a humanitarian fund or something,
I don't. The service problem is the biggest reason I share the few books I get. The second reason is that piracy has made possible for me to actually learn
stuff way more easily alone so I don't need to beat my head against the grey rock and learn most of the stuff the hard way. This is a small way to pay back to them.
Also I pay back to the content creators by buying the books and tutorials that helped me the most. I'm not doing this just to get praise, if I want that I can just go be a drawfag on other boards.
>>
Most people that download books probably don't get anything out of them anyway. They're just collecting shit to skim through and feel like they accomplished something.

Studying from a computer screen kinda sucks in my opinion. I prefer to have the actual book. But I do download pirated stuff to see if it is worth studying from and buying in the first place.

I pre-ordered Steve Huston's book though. It turned out to be worth the money, for me. That was pretty much a given though. Steve Huston's figures are great and some of his videos I pirated were helpful too. :P

This. Nothing beats an actual printed book, but when you live in North Korea, the only books about art are written by kim jong-il and are too glorious and revolutionary for a student.
