I don't have a picture of the finished piece. I used one taken by a family member which she tool with her shitty phone which explains the size of the original image. So, now what so you think about the sculpture?

I think it's fairly well made for a first bust. the ears seem too tall though, and the shirt+collar don't seem to be working, it looks really poorly executed and detracts from the overall sculpture imo. I don't sculpt so there's not much I wanna say, and it's hard to discern any details in the finished version you posted in the OP.

Thanks, it's a bust of my grandfather who passed away a few years ago. This is actually for his grave. The ears may seem large but he had rather large ears. As far as the shirt collar, I completely agree. I added that in a rush during a few days which I spent at my grandmother's house, out of town.

For me, the ears are a tad too long, but is also a common feature in old people. So it's not really 'wrong', but it's the only thing I can see.

Completely agree, I worked on the shirt/collar in a hurry. I was going to leave the next day and had to leave it "finished" before coming back home. I didn't give it the time and effort that I did for the facial features.

Yeah, I might have overdone the ears a bit but in all the pictures I found of him, his ears were quite large.
